Guests have full, private access to this home and the surrounding property. It sits on 47 private acres with views from every angle and no other neighbors in sight. A matching sister home is about 800 feet away, positioned to keep both houses private. Book this home on its own, or reserve both together for a larger groups message us for info and availability on the other home.
Estrella is accessed off a main paved road, via a well-maintained dirt driveway. A 4x4 is not required, regular cars do fine. If it rains, stay on the gravel.
The neighborhood is quiet and safe: close enough for short drives to the area’s main attractions, private enough to feel secluded once you’re at the house.
This is a self check in process.
No cameras inside the home. Ring camera at the entry door. One camera monitors the dumpster and entrance, another monitors parking and the storage shed. This booking is Estrella, the north house at Willow Mountain Vista. Ocotillo, the south house, sits about 200 yards away and may be occupied by other guests. Please respect their space.
Guest count must be accurate at booking. Maximum occupancy is 7. Everyone on the property must be disclosed on the reservation. No extra guests without prior approval. Message us if you need to update the number.
Check-in is 4:00 p.m. Check-out is 10:00 a.m. Central. You will receive a door code and a welcome message before arrival. Early check-in can be purchased with prior approval. It is not guaranteed unless extra staff is available, and fees apply. Late check-out may be billed as an additional night. We are in Central Time. Cell phones may connect to towers in Mexico and set your clock back one hour. Confirm your phone is on Central Time so you are not late and do not incur late fees. Bringing a self-sufficient RV? Send us the details for a custom quote.
Beds already on site One king bedroom, a second bedroom with two queen beds, pull-out couch, extra bedding in the closet, and a pack-and-play in the closet for infants.
Water and power: Water is hauled in by truck and stored in 6,000-gallon tanks, so we ask guests to use it thoughtfully. There will be plenty for your stay. Please skip baths, keep showers short (about 5 minutes), don’t leave the tap running, and run the dishwasher only when full. We keep drinking water in the dispenser by the sink; bringing a little extra is smart in this part of the desert, and it’s good to have emergency water in the car.
Septic: flush toilet paper only.
Park on the gravel at all times. Do not drive off the drive or pad onto the desert. Do not block the sister house or the shared dumpster. The driveway is compact dirt and gravel. No 4x4 is required in dry weather. After rain it can get muddy. Stop on the road if needed and walk the short distance through the parking area to the house. Stay on the gravel.
Keep trash in the house, in the large receptacle by the back door, or in the dumpster on the driveway. Secure it from wildlife. Do not leave bags on the porch.
You may walk the acreage at your own risk. Stay generally near the homes. Do not cross arroyos, bluffs, hills, or property lines. Do not climb the bluffs or cliffs. If you want the property-line map, ask us. Do not wander onto adjoining ranch land. Do not use Ocotillo’s decks, patio, or indoor space. Do not collect rocks, plants, or firewood. Stay at least 15 feet from cliffs, arroyos, and drop-offs. Be alert for uneven terrain, cacti, snakes, and other wildlife. Keep children in sight outdoors.
