About this property

Welcome to our Forest retreat on Bald Head Island! We fell in love with Bald Head Island 12 years ago, rented all over the island, and finally pulled the trigger on this amazing home and have never looked back. Our gorgeous home is situated in the Forest (we LOVE being in the forest) among large oak trees with hanging Spanish Moss, and quiet tree lined streets. Our home is also on a cul-de-sac, no thru traffic, great for the kids playing outdoors. The home was built in 2006, practically brand new! Has 3 bedrooms, reverse floor plan (living area upstairs), 2 four person golf carts, Wifi, 4 flat screen TV/cable, beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, coolers, high chair, pack and play, baby intercom system- everything one could possibly need.
**We have Sports membership at Bald Head Island Club (including golf).
**We do NOT have access to the Shoals club.
** 7 night minimum stay during peak season- June, July, August.
**This is a NON SMOKING home
**This is a dog friendly home. NO cats.
** This is FRIDAY to FRIDAY rental

Fabulous Get Away

Bald Head never disappoints! That said, this was our first stay in the forest and we loved it. I felt even more secluded and away from everything. It was rare to hear another voice, pet or cart. We would definitely like to return to this property!

Respite in the Forest

We came for a 35th birthday trip with some family friends. The house, itself, was comfortably furnished with beautiful framed window views of the trees. Our favorite was grabbing coffee at Midway Coffee and breakfast supplies at the Maritime Market, which was a very quick golf cart drive away and sitting on the screen-in porch chatting while the rain pattered on the tree leaves. Even though we came on a weekend with mixed weather, the house was extremely relaxing and pleasant for whatever mother nature had in store for us. Lisa, our host, was extremely organized, thoughtful and accessible. She really was top-notch. I loved the thought she put into the living room with an area for board games and bench cushions for reading, and the throw blankets. She really had the property well stocked with beach chairs + bocce set... and I cannot say enough on how nice it was to have the two golf carts, which were well maintained. This allowed us so much flexibility and in itself was a wonderful amenity to have that stands out from other island property rentals. It was well stocked and easy to find what was needed. We were so grateful as this allowed us to pack light for the ferry ride. She also helped with our check-out and provided us tips on adjusting our tram registration when we were in a pinch. Definitely would recommend this property to others and would give it more stars if I could.

Great location and excellent for kids

Kids bunk room, quick access to beach with golf carts, close to market and coffee shop. On quiet cul-de-sec. Didn’t see a single person on our street in 5 days. Middle island location puts you close to just about everything. Owner did a great job communicating and made our stay easy.

Fairytale View

Beautiful, clean, updated, well stocked and organized! Fantastic location, everything 5 minutes away! Best part is we felt like we were living in a treehouse with the live oak views from above! Will come again!

My husband and I fell in love with Bald Head Island 7 years ago and finally found a home in the forest that we love. We hope to have many more years of memories in our new home but would like to share our lovely home with others until we become full time residents.

Why they chose this property

We love the forest and the reprive from the sun in the summertime. The home is also on a very quiet cul-de-sac, great for kids and our future grandchildren.

What makes this property unique

The home is a reverse floor plan so the kitchen, living space, crofter (which is connected to the house- meaning whoever is in crofter, kids, have to go through house to exit) and one of the screened in porches on the second floor. We fell in love with house because of the enormous windows on the top floor, you feel like you are in a treehouse! We also loved all the outdoor living space. So many wonderful details in this home not to mention the fully equipped gourmet kitchen! This is a NON SMOKING property. This is a FRIDAY to FRIDAY rental
