Cozy place for couple to share

Nice streamlined process for access and great instructions from homeowner to enjoy a great stay. Also had the benefit of watching Senior Men’s Tennis tourney over 10 days near end of our stay. What a pool, never have I seen such a pool at any resort. 12 feet at the deep end

Located a couple of blocks off of El Paseo (shopping and eating district) in a nice residential area, and next to Shadow Mountain Golf Course (just walk your clubs over). Also located in Palm Desert which is in the middle of the Coachella Valley, so handy to get everywhere. The resort itself has historic origins. This is a very spacious studio. Well laid out by the owners. Contemporary style. Nicely decorated. Well equipped FULL kitchen with stove, oven, and full size fridge. Lovely patio by a creek (sat out for lunch and happy hour cocktails. Welcoming host.

Great location and awesome host!

I was playing in a national tennis tournament at the Shadow Mountain resort. This condo was literally 50 steps away from the tournament site. The owner, John, was a really nice person and awesome to deal with. He even gave us an upgrade on the condo and additionally let us stay 2 hours longer than the normal checkout time. He was very appreciative of our concern to leave the condo in perfect condition. We hope to rent your condo again next time we are in Palm Desert. Thanks again John :) Mel & Sheri Collazo

studio in Palm Desert

I reserved the studio way before covid-19 occurred and was expecting to do all sorts of things as well as to attend to some important medical check-ups. As it turned out, I ended up sheltering in place as well as completing my medical tests. Fortunately I brought my Nook (full of books), puzzle magazines and about a dozen jigsaw puzzles to keep me busy. The patio was also nice for sunning. The studio was already clean and easy to keep clean. It was very comfortable. I felt secure and did not get ill then, and it is now 3 weeks since I got home and I am still well. It was not the experience I had wanted BUT it went very well all things concidered. John was very helpful when I had a difficulty with mail. During normal times it would be a very nice home-base studio to stay in for enjoying yourself and doing lots of things. It is a couple of easy walking blocks from El Paseo and the center of Palm Desert shopping.

Overall, excellent.

Lovely modern renovated spacious studio and very well stocked. John was there to meet us and was very helpful. Amid the Covid 19 crisis, there was lots of TP and Kleenex and hand soap, just no bar soap. John offered to refund what he could given the travel recall of Canadians home, if we had been able to change our flights, despite that VRBO did not offer anything. A very well-stocked kitchen and full fridge. My preference is for blinds that block the light in the early am - that is my only criticism, as I woke up earlier than I would have liked with the fabric drapes. It should also be clearly stated on the website that if you book through an owner rather than through the rental pool, you technically do not have access to the pools, hot tubs, and tennis facilities. The pro shop will not organize matches for you, and you could be asked to leave the pool. That did not happen to us. We were able to play when others were not on the courts, or by taking one of the pro clinics.
