Exactly what we needed and SO much more!
This sweet house on a working farm was exactly what we needed as a Texas Summer getaway. The attention to detail that Amii and Tom provide is remarkable. They made is super easy for a couple of city people and their golden retrievers feel welcomed and comfortable our entire stay. The house is in good repair and when something did need attention, Amii and Tom were quick to respond. The location is great. Definitely rural, with great walking paths all around, but easy proximity to cute towns for shopping, exploring and the occasional dinner out. We fully expect to book again. Thank you, Amii & Tom!

Beautiful vacation rental
We had such a fun relaxing time. Tom let my youngest son feed the baby goat a bottle. We cooked out on the awesome patio area and were able to make ourselves at home in the cottage feel farmhouse. It was a really unique experience being able to experience farm living without being a farmer lol. Tom and Amii were wonderful hosts and we had a great stay!

Peaceful Quiet with a feeling of Home
We got together for a mini family reunion. The dining table was large enough for all of us to sit around and eat or play cards and talk all night. We enjoyed the goats and horses. Amii made farm fresh eggs, honey ambrosia and crabapple jelly available to us. Yum! My husband likes the honey ambrosia and bought additional to give as gifts. The house felt like home and is decorated with family treasures. Made me want to go antiquing. I appreciated the fully equipped kitchen. I like to cook so it was nice to have knives which were sharp. The farmhouse is nice and big and clean! All of us will be repeat guests! Amii and Tom are great hosts.

A nice step back in time.
We really enjoyed staying in the old farmhouse. We appreciated your hospitality and liked that Tundra Dog was welcome too. Maybe next time we could bring our horses too! We wished we had been able to spend more time with you folks and hear some of your stories. Judy really enjoyed the day she spent at the farm under the cedar tree, next to the .lilac bush and the horses, the day Victor took the truck to town for repairs. We don't have cedar trees up here. Once again, it was a nicely unique place to stay. Thank-you for your hospitality.

Graduation
Stayed there for my daughters graduation from CSU. Amii was a great host and very attentive to any needs or questions. The property itself was great, we enjoyed being out on a farm setting. The only draw back is if you are visiting Fort Collins you are approximately 30 minutes from town. With that being said it was still worth the stay.

Home away from home
We loved our stay and our hosts. This cute ranch style house felt like a home away from home. Only disappointment was the fact our stay was just too short. The horses are friendly and goats are fun to watch. The kitchen is spacious and great for cooking including a large table perfect for family gatherings and games. The ranch is peaceful, but close to the surrounding cities for many activities.. Amii and Tom were delightful and always available to assist with any of our needs or questions. Highly recommend!

Cute house on a adorable farm
We had a lovely stay in Eaton. Amii and Tom were lovely hosts and the property was perfect for our family while we stayed in Eaton/Greeley for a volleyball tournament. My kids loved the animals and the home was cozy and comfortable for our family of 6. We will definitely come back if we are in the area! Thanks Amii and Tom!

Lovely Home Away from Home
We really enjoyed our stay on the farm. The house was a lovely home away from home while we visited friends in Fort Collins, and we feel we got a little taste of old Colorado while staying with you. Your farm fresh eggs and kale from your garden were delish, and we enjoyed watching your goats. The sunsets over the Rockies were glorious.

Great Place for Family Gathering
We’ve now stayed at both properties on this place. My elderly mother as well as my brother and his wife live near by so this place serves us well for small family gatherings. We prefer to gather this way rather than in restaurants because of the pandemic. The kitchen and dining room are perfect for preparing and serving meals. The owners have been so very accommodating. The outdoor area is beautiful and the animals are fun to watch. We hope to do this often. Incredible sunrises and sunsets are a bonus.

Felt Like Home!
Such a fabulous time! We live on a farm in NC and this made us feel right at home, especially our almost 2 year old! He loved the tractors and red barn. Thanks for sharing with us! It was my parents first time in a VRBO and they said they were never doing hotels again!

Great time at the farm with grandkids
Two grandmas, a great grandma and four kids between 3 an7 years old had a great time at Harmon Farm. Activities included feeding the horses and goats, swinging (great tree swing), water balloons in the fenced yard - with sprinklers running. We did crafts and baked and had tons of room in the kitchen and dining area and all the items we needed for baking and cooking. Every time the girls saw Aimee outside they had to run outside and talk to her.. Great areas for adults to sit in the shade and kids to play. Thanks for providing a great place for our Norwegian camp! We got some great photos of all of us in our Norwegian t-shirts; great surroundings for family photos.

Happy at Harmon Farms
Harmon Farms exceeded our expectations! Amii & Tom are kind hosts that are there when you need them but give you all the privacy you desire. The goats, horses, chickens and barn cats peacefully exist around you. The views are wonderful and Eaton is nearby (a few miles away) for groceries, fuel, craft beer, etc. A trail passes by their farm which is perfect for biking, jogging or walking. One direction will actually take you to town. The proximity to Fort Collins, Boulder, Greeley and Rocky Mt Natl. Park ranges from 20 to 90 minutes which was fine. The house is a nicely renovated, perfectly appointed ranch style house built in 1947. We love the hardwood floors and lots of windows. The house is super clean and has everything you will need. If it doesn’t Amii & Tom will figure it out for you. Give yourself, family and friends some nice Colorado country life at Harmon Farms. Ask Tom what a “Sun Downer” is! Go there - you’ll be glad you did! Scott Severson & Family - Minnesota

Fun Farm Stay
Our family of four adults thoroughly enjoyed the long weekend at the farm. We were able to get to the mountains and also enjoy Fort Collins. The many special touches, such as charging stations, and a well supplied kitchen were appreciated, not to mention the good beds, plenty of bedding and towels. A great time!

Colorado Wedding Weekend
Amii and Tom were amazing hosts! Made us feel like family. Amii's honey butter is just delicious! The home itself was perfect for our group of six. It's down home charm was felt by all of us. The large dining table was perfect for all 6 of us to enjoy breakfast together and play cribbage in the evening. The peaceful country side location was relaxing and the farm animals were a joy to watch. If ever back in Colorado, we will definitely stay here again! If you are looking for an escape to relax or a good location in Colorado to stay, this place is a must. About an hour's drive from the Denver airport, Estes Park and 20 minutes from the Greeley rodeo. New friends we now have in Colorado! Thanks Amii and Tom! Kate M

CSU Graduation Weekend
Great communication and directions from the nice owners! They accommodated our late evening arrival. Our two- night stay here happily met our needs to keep our family of 3 generations together for the weekend. Beds and bedding were comfortable. If you are sunlight sensitive, recommend eye shades for sleeping. We managed with 1 bathroom...although more wall hooks to hang towels/washcloths would be helpful. The coffee maker is different, but we figured out how to use it; appreciated the provided filters. We brought our own coffee grounds. (Alternative Keurig coffee maker is older and does not accept Keurig pods). Quiet location about 30-35 minutes drive to CSU campu. Many thanks for sharing your home with us!

About the host

Hosted by Amii Harmon

Host profile image
Tom and Amii are happy to share their farmhouse and property. Tom grew up on a large farm in North Dakota. He teaches high school history and Colorado studies. He has climbed Long’s Peak and seen Colorado from the top of a 14er. Amii, a long-time photographer, is the innkeeper and the farm manager. She grew up in Boulder and brings with her the values for nourishing the land and enjoying the benefits of country life enjoyed naturally. And that includes horses—of course!

Why they chose this property

It is not often guests have the chance to experience the solitude and beauty of a working farm like this one. Tom and Amii have worked to bring the property and farmstead back to life, planting pastures and trees, bringing in livestock and animals, nourishing the soil and protecting the wetlands. They are making progress on their long-term plan to add patios and extensive landscaping providing trees for future generations and cozy nooks for relaxing. Their goal is to share this amazing place with many guests, whether it be via home and room rentals, hosting events, or providing farm products and tours.

What makes this property unique

This 1947 ranch style home was built to provide a home to for the farm help and lovingly restored by Amii to bring out its charm inside and out in 2016. The acreage is truly unique, with wild areas, pastures, outbuildings, and a wonderful red barn. The home is set atop a hill and offers amazing views and solitude. It is located along the Great Western Trailway, which was originally the Great Western Railway. Enjoy the views of the mountains from our porch, the pastures and farm fields to the south, and the mature tree row as you drive in. Take in the sounds of nature from our path along the ditch or enjoy our friendly farm animals.
