This was an awesome property. Quiet neighborhood but located so close to restaurants, bars, Freedom Trail and other historical sites, waterfront and subway. Host was very responsive and the place spotless clean. If I was to make one suggestion it would be to include a few more basic essentials like coffee filters, ice cube trays, etc. Highly recommend this place.

North End is a good neighborhood for walking. The apartment was about a 10-minute walk from several good Italian restaurants. We also walked the Freedom Trail from here. Like most of Boston, parking here is expensive and inconvenient, but Uber always got there in 5 minutes or less so skip driving yourself. The apartment itself is very cozy. It was pretty tight for all 5 of us to sit in the living area at the same time, but it would be great for 3 people. Our biggest issues were that was only a half roll of paper towels, no detergent for the dishwasher, the smoke/CO detectors had been pulled off the ceilings, leaving holes with wires hanging out, and there were no washcloths at all. Every other Vrbo we have rented at this price point was much better appointed. We did reach out to the owner who suggested that we could reinstall the smoke alarms, which we found stacked on top of the refrigerator. Some of the wires were stripped bare so we did not attempt that. The owner did offer to refund about half of the cleaning fee which we appreciated. The 2nd day we were there someone did drop off paper supplies and wash cloths by the door. The smoke detectors were not fixed during our stay. Boston was beautiful but we'd probably stay somewhere different next time.
We really enjoyed our stay. Property was clean and as advertised; in a nice neighborhood right near the Old North Church. We took a Freedom Trail Walking tour that ended right around the corner. Shops and restaurants within a few minutes’ walk. No street parking near the property but public parking lots and garages nearby. Inside the VRBO had everything we needed; a nice little kitchen and comfy sofa to sink into after a day of sightseeing. Overall, very comfortable.
