Well equipped kitchen; communication with host excellentPlenty of places to sleep; great laundry facilitiesDock was quite slippery and there were rough places where the concrete met the dock.Otherwise, great place to stay
We had a wonderful experience at this property. There were ten of us from three families with four kids under twelve. Bedrooms on three levels basically gave each their own floor. Very close to Powell Valley Marina which was convenient. Our host Amie was very responsive with the few things we had questions on. Would highly recommend this property and if we ever go back to Norris Lake we’ll look for this property first.
First impressions. The driveway was level with the house (no scary steep drive) and the space across the street was more than big enough for the van and boat trailer. Walking in the door, the pictures didn’t do it justice. The space was bigger than expected, including all the bedrooms and bathrooms.Kitchen was fully equipped, more than adequate for our needs. Gas grill with a full tank that we used quite a bit. Appreciated the nice washer and dryers. Kids loved the ping pong table.Launching the boat was easy, free, and convenient as it was right down the street. The covered boat dock was just fifty steps down from the house. Since we had some rain it was nice for the boat to be under cover. The cove was quiet and no wake. There were several marinas within 10-20 minutes to get gas or have a drink and a meal. The staff at Powell were super nice.We all agreed we had a great family vacation and would like to come back here again.
Second time to this property! Its great! Our family loves it here.

Wonderful Stay
My husband and I planned a Marine Corp Reunion and The Lure was the Perfect Place for it. It was a central location for everyone that was invited. We had a great time and John and Babara made sure we had everything we needed!
This place was perfect for our family, and will stay again. The location is great, steps to the lake are very manageable for all ages. Amie was great, and very easy to communicate with.
House was great! Very clean, plenty of sleeping areas. Location on lake was nice, lots of space for swimming and floating. Enjoyed using the kayak. Jon next door was friendly and helpful!!! Owner responded quickly to questions. Really enjoyed our stay!
The Lure was a great location for our annual extended family trip to Norris. The host was quick to respond when issues arose. The fire pit on an angle/hill which was the only thing I would change. The minimal steps to the dock were manageable for my parents that do not walk well. Thank you again for a great stay.
Great spot, nice house. Beautiful lake.
Upstairs Bathroom is weird and dock is on the outdated side. Otherwise lots of fun.

Girls Week
Thank you for a wonderful home and vacation spot! There was plenty of room for all 18 of us! The house was clean, fully stocked, and offered what most other homes don't, 3 refrigerators and an ICE MACHINE!! The other added bonus was the management was near by for anything we needed. They were extremely polite and helpful. This area of the lake was by far our favorite with little traffic and a private cove that allowed endless floating on the lake without tons of wake. We absolutely loved it and want to return!

GREAT HOUSE, BUT COULD USE AN ICE MACHINE
House is perfect. The only thing I would recommend would be to get an ice machine for the garage. Having to go to town, or buying at the marina every day really adds a lot of expense to the trip. We have stayed at other houses that have one and it is a real nice perk to have. Overall everything was great, just a suggestion for the future.
We've stayed at The Lure several times over the years. This is the first time we've had the pleasure of dealing with Amie. This is our annual family trip including grandparents, siblings and nieces and nephews, so we cover a wide range of interest and tastes. To a person, including the young ones, everyone had a great time. This property is located at the ideal spot on the lake in a private cove so the swimming and floating at the dock is perfect. The dock well seasoned and could use some updates but it serves its purpose well. We did have a problem with the A/C at the house on this trip. Fortunately the weather was cool enough that, though inconvenient and not ideal, it was not too big a deal. The owner/manager was quick to communicate and address the problem. I highly recommend this property for your family lake trip.
We greatly enjoyed our stay! The location to the main lake is wonderful. No wake zone but only a 2-3min float to the main lake. The house had everything to accommodate our family and the kitchen had everything you could even need. The bottom of the stairs leading to the dock is a little tricky, and could use some work. Find for me and the kids but not comfortable with taking my elderly father-in-law down then. Thankfully the marina is a very short drive and he could get on the boat that way.
Great house with plenty of beds. Love the location with minimal steps to the water. I have had several different groups of family and friends stay here multiple times. Plan to return next year.
Very clean, comfortable house on the lake with dock for a relaxing family vacation. Everything was as advertised. Because of the hurricane we decided not to trailer the boat there but cove was deep and looked easy to navigate. Would highly recommend.
We had a great time. The lake was awesome like usual. This has the best parking situation of anywhere we have stayed on Norris lake. It was nice to have bit of flat lawn in front too and got a little game of catch in. Dock set up was good and the number of stairs was less than normal. The bottom set of stairs could have used a scrub. The landing was a little slick and a couple kids slipped. The decor was nice and beachy. I liked the artwork and took pictures to duplicate it for myself. The beds were comfortable and kitchen well stocked. The bathroom set up was a little challenging for our group of different families. The full baths on the main and second floor were in bedrooms. The bathroom in the basement was pulling double duty as a utility/ laundry room and bathroom. It was a little odd with the extra fridge in the bathroom. The basement was really cold as basements are but there was no way to block/close the vent in the basement bedroom. I would put extra blankets on the beds in the basement. The kids had fun with the ping pong table and foosball table. The fire pit was in a nice location but we did have trouble with hot tub tho. It would be nice if it was under the upper deck rather than in the elements. We would stay here again.
The house was great but the water there was the real hit! It's far from the main lake but the fact it's "no wake" was amazing! We were able to float around all day without worrying about speed boats. Water was amazing! So clean and clear! You see your toenails in the water! The one weird thing about the house was the bathroom upstairs was inside a bedroom but there were 2 other bedrooms up there to share it somehow... Otherwise great house!
