"Oreo’s Dream – A Cozy, Dog-Lover’s Retreat!"

Originally known as The Old Beach Stone Cottages, we are incredibly grateful to Jim and Catherine for entrusting us with these four beautiful cottages, giving us the opportunity to create our own experiences and share them with others.

Welcome to Oreo’s Dream
A unique, dog-themed cottage in the heart of Geneva—just 190 steps from the Strip!

Designed by Celeste and Karen, this fun and cozy retreat tells the heartfelt story of how KCD Cozy Cottages came to be. Inspired by our beloved Oreo, we’ve created a space that embodies the warmth, love, and joy our furry friend brought into our lives.

Each of our cottages is thoughtfully designed to reflect our personalities, adding a special touch to the Geneva experience. Oreo’s Dream is no exception—filled with charming, dog-inspired décor that will make every guest (human or furry!) feel right at home.

Turn off all appliances & lights double check to make sure You didn't leave anything Please put all linens in laundry basket.
We may charge for damages or extra cleaning. Report issues within 20 minutes of arrival. Guests must supervise their group. Don’t move indoor furniture outside. Theft or damage incurs fees.
If you have dogs, please clean up a $250 charge if there's bulk hair on floors or bedding. If you are bringing a dog and he likes to sleep on the bed, please bring additional comforters
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

The cottage was great. We had a few issues that Karen and Celeste were more than helpful to correct. The puppy area, just like a normal dog park, people didn't pick up after their pets, but we did so no one would step in it. Overall a nice place to stay!!

Do not book w a dog

Booked cottage because it’s billed as “dog friendly” & dog themed. Stayed one night with family for mom’s 85th birthday. Mature German Shepherd dog, admittedly a “shedder,” like most Shepherds. Not enough towels, bathroom doors fail to close/latch, dog was able to access the bedroom & jumped on the bed. Shocking. Part of our fee is obviously cleaning.We swept the cottage, followed all stated/posted protocols to close up our one night stay.Contacted by owners hours after check out claiming dog hair was so bad, have to charge an extra 250 cleaning fee. Clear money grab on my credit card. Attorney has been contacted, VRBO will be notified ASAP as well.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear your stay didn’t meet your expectations. We aim to provide a welcoming, well-stocked environment, and our policies are outlined clearly in both the contract and FAQ page. As stated, we ask guests to notify us within 20 minutes of check-in if anything is unsatisfactory so we can address it immediately. Unfortunately, we received no communication from you during that window. For your one-night visit, we provided a full towel set, kitchen linens, and a variety of complimentary amenities for both you and your dog. We’re happy to accommodate pets and offer supplies to ensure comfort for all our guests. That said, we do ask guests to clean up excessive pet hair as stated in our agreement, and after your stay, the amount left behind—particularly on the bed—required considerable additional cleaning and professional laundering. It was a pleasure to meet your family and your beautiful dog. While I did notice some aggressive behavior during our brief interaction, as a lifelong dog lover, it didn’t alarm me. I appreciated that your family kept him inside and under control. However, for the safety of all guests, if that behavior had occurred outside the cottage, I would have had to take further action out of concern. You also mentioned pursuing legal action. Of course, you are free to take whatever steps you feel are necessary. However, I’d like to point out that you claimed the cottage was already dirty upon your arrival due to dog hair.

Each cottage holds a special theme that represents cherished memories for our family. Celeste’s Rustic Cottage celebrates her love for the outdoors and the fond memories of her childhood spent in nature. David’s cottage reflects his farm roots and his love for hunting—not as sport, but as a way to provide for his family. It’s a tradition he passed down to our daughter, Celeste, and together, they continue to create lasting memories. Karen’s cottage is inspired by the blue butterfly she saw the day her father passed away, symbolizing love, loss, and remembrance. And of course, Oreo Cottage is named after our beloved dog, who has been by our side through thick and thin, comforting us in the hardest times.

Our Grandmother Marge, once fearful of dogs due to childhood trauma, grew to love Oreo after staying with us—showing that even the deepest fears can be overcome with time, patience, and love.
