RESERVATION INQUIRIES OR BOOKING AVAILABILITY:
When you inquire about our listing for dates, please tell us a little about yourself, and if you're visiting for work, leisure vacation, etc. We also require past reviews or references so please include them in your inquiry.

The guest house is great for someone who has a few months' work projects. We don't allow other guests/friends to stay that's not on the reservation. If you are a long-term guest, we don't mind if you'd like to have a friend or family visit for a few days. Please let us know ahead of time when booking. We require guests to sign a standard CA lease for their stay. We have 2 female husky dogs and they will be outside sometimes. If you are not comfortable with dogs, this may not be ideal. Free parking is nearby in a gated lot. Uber and Lyft are readily available if you do not have a car.

THE SPACE:
Furnished contemporary 1 bedroom, 1 full bath guest house, 650 sq ft., secluded and private. The space is a self-contained guest house and has its own entrance, full kitchen with full-size appliances an eat-in bar area & stools. Stove/range, full-size French door refrigerator with filtered water, microwave, granite countertops, dishwasher, coffee maker, blender, toaster, and everything else you need to make your stay comfortable.
The kitchen and laundry room are on the ground floor. The living room, bedroom, and bathroom are upstairs.
The spacious and light-filled living room has skylights, a leather sofa, an LCD tv with free Spectrum TV, Apple TV, Office with Desk, and AirPrint printer that prints directly from your tablet or iPhone.
The separate bedroom has a Full-sized bed w/ linens (Double bed). There is lots of closet space, a ceiling fan, and an alarm clock.
The bathroom has an oversized spa soaking tub, a separate rain shower, LCD TV, and a picture window. A hairdryer and towels are supplied.
Private laundry room has large capacity washer & dryer w detergent and iron/ironing board.
There is an AC wall unit in the Living room. In colder months we have electric heaters for use.

GUEST ACCESS:
Guests will have their own entrance and the guest house is located behind the main house. You will enter in the front yard and walk past the main house to get to the guest house in the back. The front door gate needs to be locked every time you enter & exit. The free parking space is in a gated lot very close by.
We try to give guests as much privacy as possible. We are always available and happy to answer any questions or give any suggestions.

NOTE: We have two female husky dogs that will be outside sometimes when we are home. If you are not comfortable or used to dogs this may not be the ideal place for you.
We do not allow other guests or gatherings.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD:
We live in the heart of Hollywood at the base of the Hollywood Hills. We are located near Franklin Ave. and Vine St in zip code 90068.

We are within walking distance of the best Hollywood restaurants, bars, clubs, nightlife, tourist sites, gyms, shops, cafes, and bistros.
The Hollywood sign is visible on our block. You can't actually walk up to the sign but can get somewhat in close proximity if you are willing to hike. Best to drive up, park, and then hike a bit.

The Clark Street Diner and other options are just a minute's walk away at the end of our street. It's also a great place to star gaze and spot some celebrities who frequent there. Across the coffee shop, there is the popular Kettleglazed donut/coffee shop which serves the best donuts in town! Additionally, a convenience/liquor store, For The Win burger joint, and One Stop Eat Pizza are all in the same plaza.

Capitol Records building, Pantages theatre, W hotel, Equinox gym, Metro underground line, Trader Joes, Katsuya, Dunkin Donuts, CVS pharmacy, Greenleaf Cafe, Shake Shack, and numerous nightclubs, restaurants, and bars are just 1-2 blocks away.

Hollywood Highland Chinese Theatre/walk of fame w hand/footprints, Kodak Theatre where the Oscars are held are 15-20 min walk.

24 hr fitness, LA fitness gym, Equinox, 800 Degrees Pizzeria, and Stella Barra, are 2.5 blocks away.

Franklin Village is a 5 min. walk and has many eateries such as Sushi Stop, La Poubelle, Franklin Co Tavern, Birds, Bourgeois Pig coffee shop/bookstore, Real Raw Live Organic Juicery, Ice cream shop, Oaks gourmet cheese and deli, Fresh Brothers Pizza, Holly Hills Dry Cleaners/laundry, Pet store, and Gelson's grocery store.

Downtown LA is a 10-15 minute drive and has numerous things to explore: Staples center, trendy restaurants/bars, artist galleries/lofts, flower mart, farmers markets, Union Station, Japan Town, Grand Central Market, Jewelry Mart, Toy district, Fashion and Clothing District, Broad Museum, La Contemporary Museum MOCA, and Walt Disney Concert Hall to name a few.

Griffith Park entrance is a 5 min. drive and offers many sights such as the Griffith Observatory, Greek Theatre, Trails cafe, Golf course, Tennis courts, train rides, and Travel Town. The Los Angeles Zoo and Autry Western Museum are also located at Griffith Park. There are numerous hiking trails throughout the park.

Entertainment Studios nearby: Sunset Gower Studios and Paramount Studios, Prospect Studios are approx. a 5-10 min drive. Universal Studios and Universal City Walk is a 10-minute drive, Warner Brothers, NBC, and Disney Studios are approx. 15-20 min drive.

GETTING AROUND, TRANSPORTATION & PARKING:
There is a bus stop at the end of the block on Franklin.
The Metro line subway is a short walk to the Hollywood/Vine intersection 2 blocks away.
If you want to take excursions to the beach or other areas you can rent a car. Enterprise car rental is just 3 blocks away.
Guests will have 1 gated parking space free of charge and very close by if you have a car. There is also free parking on the street.

Aside from public transportation and your vehicle/rental car, I recommend using Uber and Lyft. They're better than taxi cabs and can be quickly and easily summoned using your smartphone.
