The Space:

The fire crackles as you step onto the deck, the mountain air fresh against your skin and the scent of pine drifting from the nearby woods. Inside, the glow of three wood‑burning fireplaces invites you to unwind, while the hot tub bubbles under a canopy of stars. A game of foosball or air hockey in the dedicated room promises laughter, and the screened‑in porch offers a quiet spot for a good book with sweeping views. Here, every corner feels designed for a memorable retreat with family or friends.

Living Spaces

Two spacious living areas feature central AC, heat, and smart TVs for streaming. Three fireplaces keep the rooms cozy on cooler evenings, and the open‑plan layout showcases beautiful mountain vistas from every seat.

Kitchen & Dining

The fully stocked kitchen includes a breakfast bar and large windows that frame the scenery, making meal prep feel like part of the experience. A generous dining table accommodates game nights and shared meals, while ample seating inside and out ensures everyone has a place to gather.

Outdoor Living

Step onto multiple decks and the expansive circular driveway for easy parking. A grill station and outdoor seating area are perfect for the grillmaster, while the fire pit invites marshmallow roasting and stargazing. The hot tub offers a soothing soak after a day of hiking, and the screened‑in porch provides a bug‑free spot to enjoy the mountain views.

Neighborhood & Activities

You’re less than a mile from Coolfont Resort, where hiking trails and a spa await. A short walk brings you to Berkeley Springs Brewing Company for craft beer and live music. Berkeley Springs State Park, just ten minutes away, offers warm mineral springs, historic bathhouses, and walking paths. Cacapon Resort State Park, also ten minutes distant, provides hiking, picnicking, and panoramic Appalachian vistas. The Ice House arts center and historic downtown Berkeley Springs are nearby for culture, shopping, and dining.

Things to Note

The community pool is not available for guests, but we can recommend nearby swimming holes and parks. Wi‑Fi is provided, though service may be slower in this remote setting—downloading essential content ahead of time is advised. Our cleaning team sweeps decks, stairs, and walkways before arrival, but natural elements like leaves and pollen may still be present. The lodge is dog‑friendly, so your furry companion can join the adventure.

I live in DC with my wife and three young kids. I love camping/hiking, drinking (and sometimes brewing) great beer and wine, exploring new restaurants and shops, and traveling all over.

What makes this property unique

We spent years searching for the perfect getaway, and wanted to be close enough to DC that we could do a day trip. We fell in love with the area – and Dandelion Lodge in particular. We love how cute and cozy our cabin is, and all the fun outdoor activities we can enjoy year-round. :)
