GASLIGHT COTTAGE - Downtown Hendersonville

Enjoy your stay at this enchanting brick cottage located within an easy walk to the many shops and restaurants on Main Street in downtown Historic Hendersonville.

The home features two bedrooms with a queen bed in the primary bedroom and two twin beds in the second bedroom. There is a full bath off the hallway and a half bath off the primary. There is a fully equipped kitchen for those who enjoy a meal prepared at home after a day of adventure in the beautiful surrounding mountains. The dining room features a large hand-crafted heart pine farm table for meals, games, puzzles or card games. The living room provides ample seating for watching television or movies from a selection of DVD's. There is also a Wi-Fi connection in the home. Enjoy your morning or after dinner coffee in the adjoining sunroom and watch for the neighborhood white squirrel!

The private fenced back yard has a large deck area, grill, patio table and fire pit to enjoy the beautiful seasons of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Area activities include the Flat Rock Playhouse, Carl Sandburg Home, Jump-Off Rock, Sierra Nevada Brewery, Blue Ridge Parkway, Biltmore Estate, Dupont State Forest, Sky-Top Orchard, Chimney Rock, Lake Lure and Asheville.
There are numerous hiking, biking and walking trails. There is an entrance to the Oklawaha Greenway walking and biking trail at the end of the street which connects three parks in Hendersonville. Downtown Hendersonville features numerous festivals and events throughout the year as well as great restaurants, shops, brew houses and entertainment There is always something to do in Historic Hendersonville.

Great place! Fully equipped and very comfortable. If you want relaxation, its the best, but it is also close to lots of activity and wonderful restaurants. The host also graciously provides games and magazines galore.

This was our second time to stay at Morgan's Gaslight Cottage. The house and grounds were beautiful as before, and everything was pristine clean! This is truly a home away from home with everything needed to make our stay comfortable. The house is a short walk to downtown Hendersonville and to the city walking trail. Morgan is a wonderful host! We highly recommend Gaslight Cottage!

I had a wonderful 11-night stay at Gaslight Cottage. The house was immaculately clean, comfortable, and had plenty of room. It’s also very conveniently located to downtown Hendersonville, making it easy to enjoy everything the area has to offer.The kitchen was very well equipped, the living room was cozy and inviting, and the spacious primary bedroom made it especially comfortable for a longer stay. The cottage had everything I needed and was a great place to call home for nearly two weeks.The only thing I would mention for future guests is that the driveway and carport are narrow. I have a 2026 Honda CR-V, and it was a tight fit getting into the carport, so anyone traveling with a larger vehicle may want to keep that in mind. You can use the driveway; you just may not be able to squeeze into the carport. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Gaslight Cottage and would happily recommend it.

Great return stay

We've stayed at the gaslight cottage before as we have family in the area to visit. It is a beautifully decorated rental and is wonderfully appointed with everything you could need AND MORE. The owner has thought of everything make the stay enjoyable!

We spent a month at the cottage and it fit our needs well. The backyard was beautiful and our daughter loved playing out there all the time. There was enough room to host more family when they dropped by and we enjoyed the large dining room and living room area. Close to downtown Hendersonville, this is a great little spot.

The house was immaculate and very quiet. We have stayed at a number of places in Henderson over the last few years and this was the most comfortable and very well decorated. We will be back.

Hendersonville baseball tournament / vacation

We were visiting Hendersonville for a baseball tournament and this location was perfect due to space and amenities needed for a family of 4z Also, the proximity to downtown Hendersonville and Jackson Park worked well. The property is well kept and very clean. We would definitely stay here again!

Relaxing

This was our third stay at Gaslight Cottage and each time has been a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. The home is always very clean and cozy, and it is in a quiet neighborhood. It feels like a home away from home and Morgan is the best host. We look forward to staying again when we are in Hendersonville visiting family.

Perfect home away from home

Chaplaincy Respite

Perfect!

Such a cute, fun house to enjoy with my three sisters! Very quiet neighborhood. Everything was spotless and comfortable. Easy to find and get around the area. Easy drive to downtown, Pisgah Forest, The Biltmore, and a few consignment stores. Would live there in a minute!

The Cottage Experience

This was the most amazing cottage experience. From the intricately placed decor, to the vintage Southern antique feel. We will never forget the kind hospitality and amazing detail placed in every part of making our experience amazing. The gift basket as well as the amazing customer service is just a small portion of why we love Gas Light Cottage and will definitely return as well as recommend in the future. Love, love Gaslight Cottage!!!

I seriously can not recommend Morgan and Gaslight Cottage enough. Morgan has done an exceptional job with the cottage. It is beautifully decorated and you can tell much thought was put in to what one might possibly need during their stay. You can not ask for a better location either. It was so convenient to Downtown Hendersonville and a short drive to all the local must sees.

Gas Light-SO bright!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this lovely home! Morgan was above and beyond in welcoming us-not only with a overflowing goody basket-but with care and kindness-checking in to make sure we were comfortable-but, also offering advice re: restaurants-and activities. We loved the space-and hope to return!
