Amaryllis Guest House - a slice of country charm with lovely peaceful surroundings. Quiet, secluded home with country views and dark skies - great for birdwatching, golfing, hiking, relaxing. Guests from all walks of life are welcome, but absolutely no parties or events are allowed. Convenient for Kent (15 min), NEOMED (5 min), and Akron. Close to Dusty Armadillo, wineries, golfing, and hiking trails. Country peace and quiet but close enough to town for fine dining.

Front entrance needs some landscaping work to clear the sidewalk, and the house is far from everything, but it is a lovely, spacious home. The host is friendly and welcoming. Overall excellent accommodations!

Margaret's communications were timely, professional, and friendly. I truly enjoyed staying at her comfortable home. It was the perfect location for a family wedding. I was also able to go for a relaxing run on the long country roads. Thank you!

Ruth (Margaret) hosts Amaryllis Guest House together with her husband Ron Kerns. We like to welcome guests from all walks of life to share our love for the beautiful countryside we live in. We enjoy hiking, bird-watching, playing music together, and gardening.

We love hosting Airbnb guests who want privacy and who enjoy the peaceful countryside, but we also love eating out. That's what makes our location great - peace and quiet, but so close to Kent, Akron, and Canton that eating at great restaurants is an easy option.

Why they chose this property

Amaryllis Guest House is in a residential area, surrounded by fields and woodland.

Lots of wildlife to view and enjoy, but also ensure you take proper precautions - raccoons will enter the house if doors are left open!

Note we have a septic system, so please use only the toilet paper provided. It is normal to hear water running in the basement from time to time as water from upstairs drains to the pipes below.

The house is equipped with smoke detectors that will alert the host remotely if there is smoke in the house.

The fireplace is not in service.

Not suitable for small children and pets are not permitted.

Quite country residential area right next to a wooded wetland - very peaceful and ideal for relaxing in nature.
