Gainesville is home to this cottage. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Lake Lanier and Don Carter State Park, while Smithgall Arts Center and Gainesville Theatre Alliance are cultural highlights. Atlanta Botanical Garden, Gainesville and Quinlan Visual Arts Center are also worth visiting.
This was the perfect little cabin. I loved having three bedrooms for a little space and privacy, a well-stocked kitchen, and beautiful lake view.

Nicole was very responsive. The cottage is a very nice space to hang out and is beautifully decorated. There’s a picnic table close to the house and the waterfront is so close. We had gorgeous sunsets.
House was nice. On a busy road but nice lake view, very clean and new. Overlooked only one bathroom but worked out fine even with five adults. Host was responsive. Needs bedside table or something - nowhere to charge phones, leave glasses or anything needed at night.
Very clean, plenty of natural light. Quiet location, nice size yard with sitting area and another open space by the water. The old road/boat ramp at the bottom of the hill provided a few places to fish from the bank and a great place for a quit walk/run. We were in town for a fishing tournament so plenty of room for 2 trucks and a great place at the bottom of the hill for the boat with a plug in for batteries. 2 minutes from Laurel Park boat ramp. 37 minutes from Helen, 20 minutes to town. Great selection of things to do, places to eat, and antique stores./shopping.
Everything was brand new! It was well done & so cute. We were extremely impressed with the inside of this house. The house was a little hard to find- it is a steep driveway down one house away from a Citgo. They did a great job fencing the one side of the yard to add some privacy. The washer & dryer are stacked but were a nice set that did a great quick wash. They even left us a prepack of detergent! My teen daughter loved the complimentary toiletry items they had in each room for us.
Staying here was a peaceful escape. The place was very clean and had so many thoughtful little touches that made it feel like home as you could tell a lot of care went into setting it up for guests. The view of the lake was absolutely stunning, and being so close to the water was a major bonus. The only challenge was sharing one bathroom with three other people, but to be fair, it was super spacious and nicely updated. A couple of small suggestions: the bathroom rugs were a bit slippery as I almost went ice skating unintentionally a few times, so rugs with a little more grip would help. Also, a couple of nightstands by the beds would be handy for storing phones and small items overnight.Overall, it was a peaceful, well-kept place in a beautiful location. We’d absolutely consider staying again!
