We had a wonderful Spring Break stay in this River North unit! It’s spacious, well situated and priced very well! It was well stocked, and we appreciated the washer/dryer in the unit. It’s clean, and we were able to contact the host easily. It’s worth it if you are looking for somewhere to stay in the city that is easy access to everything by train, car or walking.
Incredible place, enough room for everyone on a business trip to have their own space. Quiet, close to everything, easy access to the train and well stocked kitchen. The Griddle 24 diner nearby was an immediate fav
This property has it all - located in the middle of tons of restaurants and close access points to the L, we enjoyed the ability to relax on the rooftop or walk down the street for a late night bite at the diner. The rooms were sizable and the accommodations were excellent. Would definitely recommend staying here - great value overall.
Clean penthouse with amazing views. A little loud due to parties downstairs and a lot of noise in surrounding area… but you’re in Chicago, what do you expect! Perfect distance to the city and more than enough space for everyone. AC blows extremely cold and everything works great. House was clean and tidy upon arrival. The stairs into the building could use a severe shampoo wash… like severe. But that is out of this owners control.

Arriving and finding the parking spots I was excited for until we realized we had to walk through the alley way all the way around the unit. This felt really sketchy doing late at night - the gate to close behind the parking was broken and useless. The stairs going up to the penthouse was overwhelming- I believe I counted for 50 stairs. Loading in and out was not fun this should be more forward in the listing. At first glance the unit was great - however as we all spread out to claim bedding it became disappointing. The listing states there is space for 10 people but we all disagreed on that. The bunk bed was so wobbly that as we climbed up the mattress almost fell down through the poles. The beds were extremely minimal - 2 small pillows, a shared comforter and no extra pillows or blankets anywhere. The living room and kitchen were decent but there were no pillows or comfort. The couch was really hard and the seats were slipping down. The kitchen table was wobbly and felt unsafe. The living room rug didn’t seem like it was vacuumed it was really gross. The towel situation was also super disappointing- we all got one towel for the showers and they were so thin and small it was terrible. And almost NONE of the doors actually closed and locked which was very annoying. The biggest deal was the lack of heat - the nest controls didn’t work and we had to switch the breaker to trigger the heater to turn on but everyone was so cold the first night.

This unit is dated and worn (broken lazy susan, loose toilet paper holder, ceiling fans have a thick layer of dust, and it could use paint) but it’s perfectly fine for a short stay. The beds aren’t great, though the linens are nice. The location is excellent but noisy, so bring earplugs. The low rating is entirely due to our experience with the hosts. We arrived to find no heat on a 30-degree night. While the host responded at first, they repeatedly asked if we had adjusted the thermostat even after we confirmed we had and sent photos. After more than two hours of back-and-forth and my contacting VRBO directly, they said they’d “get back to us soon” and then went silent for roughly seven hours.A technician eventually came and fixed both heating units—one needed a new sensor, the other was so dirty it had stopped working. After being without heat for a full day (we had to wear coats and hats indoors), we requested a refund for the first night of our four-night stay. And received the response that they would check with management. We had to follow up multiple times before they finally gave us an answer, and when they did, they told us they would issue the refund only if we left a 5-star review. This violates VRBO’s extortion policy. When I pointed that out, they stopped responding. We contacted VRBO support who stepped in and resolved it quickly. We love VRBO, but we would not recommend this unit.
This apartment is on the top floor and there is no elevator! If you have people who cannot do 4 flights of stairs, this is not the place to stay. We stayed for a bachelorette party and it has 3 bedrooms/ 2 baths and was comfortable for 6 people. The check in process was not smooth as no one gave me check in instructions until I called and messaged a few times. The place has a lot of natural light which is nice. One of the bedrooms is a loft, so not a lot of privacy. The outdoor patio is nice!
The unit’s location was excellent—extremely close to brown and purple lines, as well as a lot of great restaurants. On site parking was also very helpful and easy (though could be tight if planning on bringing a large vehicle). Check in and host communication were a breeze. We absolutely enjoyed our stay!
