About the host

Hi, I’m Meghan— the homeowner and one of the hosts at Maggie’s Manor!
I grew up right here in St. Paul, and Maggie’s Manor has been in my family since 1946. It’s more than just a home—it’s the place where I spent holidays, learned to ride a bike, and listened to my grandparents’ stories at the kitchen table. Today, I feel incredibly lucky to share this special home with guests from all over.
When I’m not hosting, I enjoy exploring local restaurants, hiking in the mountains, and spending time with my family. I’m passionate about creating welcoming, comfortable spaces that help people feel truly at home—even when they’re far from it.
Whether you're visiting for the first time or returning for another stay, I hope you’ll feel the warmth and care that make Maggie’s Manor so unique. We are always happy to share local tips, favorite spots, or just make sure everything goes smoothly during your visit!

Why they chose this property
Tucked into the heart of St. Paul, the Como Park neighborhood is a serene, tree-lined gem that feels like a small town within the city. Here, century-old homes sit quietly along peaceful streets.
At the center of it all is Como Park—a sprawling green space that locals adore year-round. The area buzzes with life: couples stroll around Como Lake, families gather for picnics by the Zoo and Conservatory, joggers loop the shaded paths, and paddle boats drift across the water. In the summer, free concerts at the Lakeside Pavilion fill the air with music and laughter.
Within walking distance, you’ll find local coffee shops, bagel spots, ice cream parlors, and cozy pubs. There’s a rhythm to Como—easygoing, friendly, nostalgic—where life slows down just enough to savor it.

What makes this property unique
Maggie’s Manor stands out from the competition because it offers a rare combination of history, charm, space, and location that’s hard to find in typical short-term rentals. Here’s what makes it truly unique:
🏡 Historic Character with a Personal Legacy
Built and lovingly maintained within the same family since 1946, Maggie’s Manor is more than a rental—it’s a home with soul.
Thoughtfully restored, blending original craftsmanship (hardwood floors, built-ins, vintage light fixtures) with modern comforts.
Named after the family matriarch’s nickname for her granddaughter, creating an emotional connection guests often feel and remember.
🌳 Prime Location in the Como Park Neighborhood
Situated in the heart of one of St. Paul’s most beloved neighborhoods—walking distance to Como Park, Zoo, Conservatory, Lake, and golf course.
Quiet, tree-lined streets with quick access to both downtowns (St. Paul and Minneapolis), ideal for families and business travelers alike.
🛏️ Space to Spread Out
Unlike many urban rentals, Maggie’s Manor offers multiple bedrooms, ample living space, and a large backyard—perfect for families, reunions, or small group getaways.
Comfortable for longer stays with a fully equipped kitchen, cozy nooks, and work-from-home potential.
🪞 Unique Furnishings & Stories
You’ll find thoughtful details throughout the home, including a handcrafted entry table made from the original broom closet door and Grandma’s favorite chair nestled in the master bedroom.
Every room has a story—guests consistently say the home “feels lived in, not staged.”
💛 Thoughtful Touches & Warm Hospitality
Locally curated guidebook, personal welcome notes, and an attentive host who knows the area and the home inside and out.
It’s not just a stay—it’s an experience rooted in hospitality, history, and heart.
