Second Floor: Queen Bedroom with a twin day bed and trundle beneath in one bedroom, Queen Bedroom with single Twin Bed and Twin Bunk beds, Full Hall Bathroom with Stall Shower

Fernwood Cottage is one of those rare properties that sits nestled in the woods with a minute's walk to the water's edge and offers all of the peace, tranquility and beauty that people expect when coming to Maine. When entering this cottage, you will enter the kitchen with eating bar and dining area. There is a king suite off of the dining area and the living room facing the lake. There is a wonderful screened in porch off the living room for evenings playing cards. Upstairs you will find two large bedrooms with a hall bath to share. This private location with great water frontage is a wonderful property for that perfect vacation getaway. Quantabacook Lake has great bass fishing as well as beautiful water to swim. Kayak or paddle board rentals from local providers are popular at this property!

This comfortable lakeside retreat is a great renovated space to enjoy days swimming or boating in the lake and evenings by the campfire with s'mores. 

Downtown Searsmont is a short drive from the cottage and has a general store for basic grocery provisioning, pizza/deli ordering, and alcohol/ice cream purchase. Belfast is about a 15 minute drive from the house and has great shopping, dining, and a beautiful waterfront for concerts in the park and weekly farmers market. Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor are only a 90 minute drive from the cottage. 

BEACH CLASSIFICATION: We have categorized this property as having or being near a sandy beach. More specifically for this property -it is mostly rocky and guests should use the dock to access the water.
