Wonderful Weekend Getaway

This house was perfect for our anniversary weekend getaway. It was tucked into the woods, with a cute deck and game room. The king size bed is so comfortable and the love this owner has for their house is evident. The neighbors were all so sweet and friendly. We will definitely come back to stay here again!

Excellent hosts! Very clean property! Would recommend staying here. Playing darts and pool in the private game room was a blast. Doing yoga during early morning in the screened in sunroom was amazing and relaxing. The deer would come right into the yard. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation spot with nothing to worry about then this is the spot for you and your family. No complaints!

A place of great peace

A very quiet place for those who like nature and places away from everything, this is a perfect place. The house is cozy, I would only recommend that they give it a deep clean.

Cozy House, Great Views

This property was quiet and comfortable, just what we were looking for. Almost as soon as we checked in we saw a family of deer in the side yard. The house was just a short drive from some great hiking and food. It was perfect for our short getaway.

The home was perfect for the 4 of us. Love the TV & you tube access on each TV in all bedrooms & livingroom. House was clean. Easy access driveway. Very well stocked with supplies. The community has beautiful little creeks everywhere. Seeing all the deer was awesome.

Thanksgiving Getaway!

We stayed here over Thanksgiving and it was so peaceful and relaxing. We truly got that cozy vibe. Every morning we woke up to deer outside. Secure community! The house was as pictured and more, very very clean! We were able to cook Thanksgiving dinner with what was provided in the house. Definitely will be staying here again! Thank you

Better than advertised

Just what the doctor ordered. The home was better than the pictures online. The kitchen was well stocked, had everything. The living space both inside and the screened porch was very nice and welcoming. Definitely plan to go back in the near future.

Peaceful Place

My husband and I enjoyed a quick weekend getaway. The space was exactly as advertised and very well kept. We especially enjoyed the sunroom. It was a quiet, peaceful neighborhood which made for a relaxing stay. The entire house was stocked with everything you could possibly need and the check in/out instructions were easy to follow. I definitely recommend this property and will most likely visit again soon! If you stumble upon my review, read no further and confirm your booking!

Loved the house overall. Needs a good deep cleaning. If you’re someone that likes to cook, make sure you bring all seasonings and own pans and pots because the ones there are barely usable. Check in/out was easy. A million very friendly deer ( they came super close) and a black bear in the back yard were the highlights. Will come back but better prepared.

Constructive criticism

Property needs a good deep cleaning, spider webs all over the house, sunroom smelled musty, couch was dirty, thank God it wasn’t warm out, except for one night the back rooms have no air conditioning we had to buy a fan, an older lady at the security booth was not very nice, neighbors was very friendly along with the Deer , porch was filthy with spiders hanging out

Lovely home

Great location for our event. The ruins were as pictured. Really lovely screened in porch. Booking was easy, but preregistration by the local contact was very frustrating and not very helpful. Also, for the amount charged for cleaning, the kitchen was not clean and dishes/utensils were dirty

Nice, quiet, clean, lots of wildlife. No AC in bedrooms

Overall we had a nice stay, but there were a few hiccups. The interior of the house was very clean & well stocked; we had everything we needed to prepare food and be comfortable. We loved the enclosed porch & enjoyed seeing all the deer. We were surprised to find that only the living room area of the house had air conditioning, however. The bedrooms do not have air conditioning & were quite warm, despite the fans. This was not made clear in the listing. The exterior & deck were covered in spider webs & needed to be swept. Also both propane tanks were empty so we didn’t get to use the grill or fire pit. The owner offered to reimburse us to fill them up, but we didn’t want to take the time away from our short trip to go find somewhere to exchange them. Communication with the local contact, Jackie, was great - she was very responsive to any questions.

Nice home, not great area

The house was nice but we had several issues. The security shack was not aware of our arrival. We had to get in touch with the owner to get them to allow us in. That was a one day approval until the main office alerted them of our stay. The power has gone out that evening due to high winds. While this wasn’t the homeowner’s fault, it made for scary night. The one lake that had a beach was closed and my daughter stepped into quick sand like material while standing at the edge. Needless to say, she wasn’t happy. The following day we went to the pool. Thank god it wasn’t crowded cause it’s really not large at all. That evening we wanted to make s'mores and we couldn’t get the fire pit lit. We even exchanged the gas from the grill cause we knew that was full. Still we couldn’t get it started. While the house itself was very nice, well stocked and clean, the area itself is not ideal for outdoor activities. We did see many many deer which were quite friendly. My dog had a stand off with one. I think she thought it was her brother or sister.
