What an incredible place!! The views were spectacular, and the house was so unique. We enjoyed the walks on the beach with our dog, and the whole family enjoyed the games and pool table.
Perfect spot for our annual family get-together. Enjoyed bonfires on the beach, sitting around the fireplace and watching the sunrises and crashing waves! Can't wait to return next year.
This property was perfect for a family get together and whenever we come to Lake Michigan again, we will be sure to rent it again if it’s available! Beautiful, perfect location, lovely and homey!

Thank you Emily. So glad you enjoyed On the Rocks. We will have CA next summer and more updates.
Had an amazing fall weekend, ended up being 80 out and made for a great trip. The home is clean and well taken care of and it is incredibly quiet and peaceful. The space is far more beautiful than the photos show and you won't regret booking it.
I loved the whole experience! The home was beautiful and comfortable. The beach and outdoor sitting areas were just what I needed for a relaxing vacation. Check in was easy and the neighborhood quiet.
A wonderful experience overall. Beautiful & comfy house complete with all needed amenities. Still, all that was topped by its setting. Deck, lawn and beach were much more than we could have imagined. Family and our dogs had the best time!!!
A frame & the property were beautiful! It was beyond our expectations! Spectacular Views, great amenities & very peaceful! Perfect place for a family get together & Sandcastles to make Memories!
We loved this property! The beach is absolutely incredible! It was very well appointed inside with everything we could possibly have needed. The upstairs was quite warm with no air conditioning, even with fans in and windows open, but the kids didn’t care. The adult that slept up there wasn’t happy but the rest of us felt very comfortable. I would absolutely go back!
We had an absolutely fantastic vacation at On the Rocks! The house was beautiful, well-stocked, cozy, and filled with so many fun things to do. The kids especially enjoyed the pool table and spent many hours in the fun loft playing pool and other games. The beach and outdoor spaces were absolutely phenomenal! Smooth sand, clear water, and so many wonderful spaces to relax. Our entire family - littles, middle schoolers, teens, and adults - spent hours on the beach and in the water enjoying every bit of it! Michele was wonderful to work with and we appreciated the ease of communication. All in all, it was a memorable stay and we would definitely recommend this lovely home!
We very much enjoyed our stay at this home for our family. The house was beautiful and spacious, and the location right on the beach made for a truly special experience. We loved having bonfires on the beach each night. (It was nice that the wood was provided)! It was especially nice to have such a well stocked kitchen. There is no AC but the fresh air through the screened windows made the house comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
It's a beautiful house with incredible views of the lake. The fireplace is wonderful. We had a stange start to our visit which was resolved with the help of several people and the owner made up for the early challenges in spades. Life happens and we work to reframe challenges as adventures. The owner said we could walk the beach for miles and that's no joke. We were able to bring our dogs on this trip. It was their first trip and they did great. They were even interested in the strange water stuff that kept waving into shore. The only downside was that the incredible windows and views meant that the house was quite chilly even with a fire going. We had such a warm fall and the weather shifted right before Thanksgiving. I beleive they are closing the place up for the winter. Bring extra clothing layers in the spring and fall for a cooler house (there were plenty of blankes on the bed) and those chilly lake breezes.
Our adult children were with us celebrating dads birthday for a few days. The photos and other reviews are accurate in the description but it is oh so much more...it is peace, beauty, family connection, laughs, memories, discoveries, adventure, renewal and recharge. All my boxes were checked off with this stay. The space is set up for group or small conversations. The kitchen has more than enough supplies for whatever meal is on the menu...but space is limited for how many cooks. It all works out perfectly. Bedrooms were beautiful with nice linens and space for your things. Two very unique bathrooms. Living room awesome. Parking a plenty as some of our kids needed to bring two cars. But the outdoors is where all your cares melt and one unwinds in the natural space, swimming was great with clear, shallow to deeper, water Go ahead, book the House on the Rocks, you wont be disappointed. Working with Michele was a breeze, entry to house a snap.
This place is heaven on earth, a lakefront gem of a stunningly beautiful home. On the Rocks is generously appointed to meet every indoor/outdoor creature comfort, each room being supplied well beyond average wants/needs. Impressive outdoor seating areas surround this property and those wingback chairs in the great room are sooo comfy and cozy. Beds are sleep-inducing with dreamy soft sheets (my mother-in-law wants a set for herself and found them to be quality when found on amazon..). While there are definite signs you're staying on a lakefront property (no A/C, biting insects outdoors), there are plenty of fans and ventilation provided by the screen windows and doors. Our stay was beyond peaceful, complete privacy, quiet with the hypnotic sounds of the water, birds (cardinals, jays, song sparrows, wrens, and hummingbirds visited!). Bonfires on the beach the first two nights, then a cool rainy night kept us indoors where we enjoyed a roaring fore in the massive fireplace. Wood was available though we brought 3 bundles of our own. I felt so at home, I love to garden and enjoyed deadheading some flowers in pots and planters (the gardens are gorgeous, a bouquet of beautiful peonies welcomed us in the great room upon arrival). I could go on and on, we can't wait for the opportunity to get back to On the Rocks, our visit is seared into my heart and will be a happy memory for years to come. Kudos to Michele, property manager, communication was seamless and professional.
This place reflects a lot of attention to detail for your stay. It was honestly great. The beach, location, deck, sun deck, games and books for kids...everything was great. They have multiple areas to sit depending on that you're doing. They have nice chairs set up with a fire pit on the beach. They provided fire wood, a regular coffee maker, lots of kitchen necessities, beach towels. There was really nothing that we would have needed to bring. The 4 star rating is due to lack of air condition/cooling towers, which we knew about going in but didn't realize how bad it would get. While it was tolerable in the rooms that had doors that could be left open at all times, the kid bedroom was so hot. We had our 3 and 5 year old in there and it was 80 degrees on their monitor at 10pm. That was with the window open and 3 fans running 24 hours a day. We even drove around looking to buy anything that could have helped. The daily temperatures ranged from 78-80 while we were there. There was no ability to take a daytime nap for our youngest due to the temperature. Also, sleeping with the door open on the first floor made us nervous for safety. The first floor bathroom (which is shared as it's the main) has a large window which doesn't allow much privacy. For example, you can see from the bedroom directly to the toilet. So, if you are with people where you aren't super comfortable with others seeing you on the toilet, it's just something to note :) Other than that everything was perfect.
