West Bluff Sunset House

Lakefront home with sunset views of Lake Ontario in quiet neighborhood. One mile west of Olcott Harbor and 18 miles east of Niagara Falls. Boat trailer parking onsite. Relax on the outdoor deck with beautiful lake view, and enjoy a nighttime bonfire in the backyard pit. Our home is cozy inside with oak flooring in the dining and family room. Unique brick countertops and flooring in the kitchen and bathrooms. Sleeps six comfortably in 3 bedrooms with 3 full baths. We keep our base rates low by limiting number of guests to six, and a nominal surcharge above four, which covers our costs.

Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Turn off all air conditioner units with handheld controllers....set all round (heat only) thermostats below 50F...
All round (heat only) thermostats should be not be used and turned off (below 50F) during summer....main heat thermostat in dining room should be left off....and not turned on...
spring, late fall, and winter....do not use handheld AC controllers......adjust heat on main heat thermostat and individual bedroom round (heat only) thermostats..set each to 68F initially.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Lake house by Fort Niagara

Needed a place to stay for a lacrosse tournament that was at Fort Niagara State Park. Came across this house, which was fairly close. House was perfect, the scenery was perfect, and the host was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!!! Many thanks Eric!!!

The propery in a beautiful location. However, the outside space can not be used due to massive numbers of mosquitos and no see ums. Most likely due to high grass. This could be amameloriated with mosquito coils but

We've been staying at this location for several years now. Nice neighborhood and close to our Charter. Could use more firewood for our two noght stay. Some kitchen updates have taken place and are appreciated. New toilets would be nice and some repair work on the back of the house is badly needed. House is clean but the outside deck tables were not. Overall, we still like it Thanks Eric.

House is very spacious with a warm, personal feel. It was appreciated that condiments were left, spices too, along with coffee. Neighborhood was quiet and close to town and surrounding towns. Host answered questions in a very timely manner.

great location and view of Lake. The sun sets were great. The house itself needs a deep cleaning and some updating. One person found mouse droppings on the window seal and wondered about the cleanliness of the bed spreads. Several lightbulbs burned out or missing, Great communication with the host.

Beautiful house in a perfect setting!!

My family and I stayed here so we’d be close to Niagra Falls. The house was great, amazing neighborhood and the perfect location right ok Lake Ontario. My wife, my 3 boys and myself enjoyed watching the boats and the birds all around the lake. We visited Niagra Falls twice, went to fort Niagra and the aquarium. The one hidden gem is the town of Olcott. Great atmosphere! Beautiful little shops and restaurants. A splash pad and a little lake beach can be found here as well. We will definitely be coming back to the area and hopefully staying at this same house. Thank you Eric!!!

West Bluff house on Lake Ontario, Olcott, NY

We didn't receive check in info until we were able to contact owner who texted with us readily. Appears to be a well loved family type home. Needs general cleaning. Jetted tub is recessed into floor and seems dangerous. Family dining/living rooms were welcoming. No welcome/instructions book with grocery or restaurant ideas, etc. Kitchen without foil, plastic wrap, baggies. No dishwasher soap. Sign said to run dishwasher when leaving, which made us feel dishes in cupboard probably had been through dishwasher without soap. Freezer had good ice making machine. No Wi Fi password readily available. Owner responded 45 mins. after request. Lockbox was not able to lock up at check out. We messaged owner with where we left key after we locked up. Beautiful property and we would return and we would be more prepared.

Eric was very nice and easy to get in touch with. The place had a beautiful lake front view. The house itself is very cool with the brick work and layout. However, the only downfall I would say is the house needs some updating.

Perfect stay away!

We chose this house for a 3-night stay for a wedding 10 minutes away. Since we couldn't get in til 3pm, we decided to come on Thursday and get settled, because Friday was rehearsal & dinner. My older granddaughter called it the "Brady Bunch" home because of all the brick details in kitchen and throughout home. It was spotless, had all utensils needed for our daily breakfast. The home is open, airy and bright with a gorgeous view of the lake. Sunset was gorgeous on the one night we were there to see it!! Eric was available for all questions and advice! The location of the house on the lake was terrific for sunsets and a bonfire. We enjoyed both. The house had plenty of inside space for the 4 of us. The house could use a little modernizing, but overall it was what we needed for 3 days and enjoyed our stay.
