This guesthouse features a kitchen, dining area, sitting area with walkout to patio, 3-piece bathroom with claw foot tub, a realistic warm and inviting propane stove and two cozy upstairs bedrooms that sleep five!
Be inspired as you explore the many lovely nooks and crannies: mindfulness conversation areas, tranquil gardens, healing and cleansing forest...many delightful spaces to explore!

Guest access
Guests will be provided a key upon their arrival. This cottage is a stand alone building and has private access for guests. You have the freedom to move around and explore the property at you leisure.

Interaction with guests
Our family home is located on this property and we are available as needed. We prefer to be on-hand for the pizza oven preparation as it takes a few hours to get the fire burning hot enough to heat the oven.

The neighbourhood
We are 75 minutes east of downtown Toronto, backing onto the Ganaraska Forest, steps away from Brimacombe/Oshawa Sky Club and minutes from the Garanaraka Treetop Trekking and Forest Trails. We are also in close proximity to the spectacular Cobourg beach, the heritage community of Port Hope with it's waterfront trails and just north of us is the Peterborough & the Kawartas where you will find a great mix of city and country living.

Amazing property

We loved our stay at the DASHTA Retreat, it was definitely a treat. We loved the nature and being outside, it was a lovely change from living in the city. The pizza oven was really fun and produced delicious pizza! Definitely would recommend!

An amazing weekend at a relaxing cottage

We loved staying at Dashta retreat. The property was lovely and we had some much space to explore. The owners dog Ziggy was a lovely addition. He was calm and happy all the time. We definitely would recommend staying here to anyone that has a bigger group, there enough to sleep 6 people but the living room was cozy with 4 people. The pizza oven was also fun to use!! Thank you very much for a great long weekend.

A peaceful getaway

We had a wonderful time this weekend! Stayed for one night at the retreat. The weather wasn't the greatest so we didn't get to explore the grounds too much, but we still got to take advantage of using the wood fire pizza oven. That was certainly a fun and delicious experience! The cottage was clean and welcoming, bright and cozy. Would definite recommend staying at this lovely cottage. Audrey and Faro were great hosts. Thank you!
