About this property
The Blue House on the Corner
Enjoy easy access to everything from this perfectly located home base. Private downstairs apartment. Walking distance from Chester Creek “green belt” and downtown Anchorage. Minutes from Midtown, Spenard and the UMED district.
Private entrance through a shared yard (our special patch of green in the city) and shared laundry conveniently located directly outside of the apartment entrance.
This is a converted basement located down one flight of stairs. At the base of the stairs you’ll see the front door to the apartment and a second door for the laundry room. Once through the apartment door, you find a cozy kitchen/living room area, 1 Bedroom, and a full bathroom.
*this is a converted basement*
We do live upstairs with a family consisting of 2 cats and 2 dogs. We do our best to limit the chaos, but sometimes the beasts are hard to wrangle. Things to keep in mind If you are sensitive to sound.
*this space is best for 2 people or family of ~4*
While we are happy to accommodate 4 adults we only have one bedroom. True to the name Airbnb we have a self regulating air-bed with a foam topper which is surprisingly comfortable but will need to be placed in the living room. For those with children we also have a pack and play.
Access to full apartment with coded entry, shared laundry room (access code upon request) and shared yard with chairs and tables available for use in the yard only.
We live onsite and are available anytime for questions or concerns. Our only hope is that our guests are happy and comfortable, so if there is something that would make your stay more enjoyable, don’t hesitate to reach out!

It is surprisingly quite at night and on weekends!
Parking available onsite for 1 vehicles. Public transit in the city is awesome, multiple bus stops near by including 1 right in front of the house. Current bus routes and schedules online. Trails! Trails! Trails! There is an incredible amount of paved trails in and around Anchorage. Access to Chester C reek trail is less than 1 mile walking distance from the house, which connects to the extensive trail system in town. East on Chestercreek trail will take you to Goose Lake and University Lake Park.
*This apartment is located down a flight of stairs, unfortunately not wheel chair accessible at this time.*
*This a basement appartment and minimal upstairs noise is to be expected*
* There is an Airbed and foam topper upon request, this space is best for 2 people but we are happy to accommodate up to 4 as long as guest understand that the second bed is an airbed which will fit only in the living room*
