We were disappointed to discover a small dark basement suite upon our arrival. The queen bed was extremely firm and uncomfortable and the pull out bed was comparable to one would you would expect at a sixth grade sleepover in the 1980’s.Despite listing the suite as a studio, the pictures show separate sleeping areas as ‘bedrooms’ causing confusion as to the actual size of the unit.Within 10 minutes of our arrival, we determined we wouldn’t be able to enjoy our vacation at this property and ended up at a more suitable resort. This unit is very overpriced for the quality. I would recommend skipping Nanoose Bay all together and stay in Parksville instead. The beaches, resorts, recreation and entertainment and far superior - especially if you have children. On a positive note, the suite was clean and well maintained. It might better suited to an older individual who needs a place to stay for a night.
