About this property
Cozy 3BR/2BA in Sea Pines - Pool, Beach, Golf, Tennis & more!
3423 Carolina Place is a stylish and comfortable townhome with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large living and dining space, full kitchen, and a lovely back deck overlooking a lagoon and Sea Pines Forest Preserve with their diversity of wildlife. You'll have access to a private community pool just a few minute's walk away, as well as private community beach access with restrooms, restaurants & services at the Sea Pines Beach Club. Being ideally located in Sea Pines you'll also have access to the many other attractions and amenities in Sea Pines including South Beach, Harbour Town, Lawton Stables, the Sea Pines Forest Preserve, Sea Pines Center, and more. Although you can have an amazing vacation just within Sea Pines, this unit is also located close to Coligny with its shops, restaurants and public beach. Other Hilton Head attractions such as Shelter Cove and the many other public beaches are a short drive away.
Unlike the many small vacation condos you'll find on HHI, this is a spacious 1,280 sq foot unit with three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a full size kitchen, as well as outside deck space. There's no comparison to vacationing in a cramped hotel room. Here, you'll have room to spread out and enjoy yourself and you'll truly feel at home on vacation. We tried to think of everything to make your stay easy and fun, including beach chairs, an umbrella, cooler with ice packs, boogie and skim boards and lots of beach toys for the kids.
This property is clean, bright and tastefully decorated. As an end unit you will enjoy extra privacy and light. Walking into the main entry you'll notice the new LVP flooring and an open plan living room with high vaulted ceilings and a ceiling fan. The kitchen is just to the right. Although the kitchen has not yet been renovated it is clean and has everything you need if you decide to cook at home. The living room features 2 comfortable couches, a coffee table, a flat screen TV and a Sonos Era 100 bluetooth music speaker (please note that the fireplace is not for guest use). The dining room seats 6 and adjoins the living area. Both the living room and dining room have sliders leading to the deck.
This is a one level unit so all 3 bedrooms are on the first floor. The master bedroom is a large room with vaulted ceiling containing a king size bed, plenty of drawer space, two bedside tables, and a ceiling fan. This bedroom also has a slider leading to the deck, and a window overlooking the lagoon where you might spot snowy egrets, great blue herons, or other local wildlife. The master bedroom has a beautiful, recently updated ensuite bathroom with dual vanity, tile floors, and a tile shower. (Please note that prior to May 2025 this unit had an older queen bed. A new king bed and new matching bedroom furniture was installed in May 2025. A couple photos of the master bedroom may show part of the old bed or furniture, until we're able to schedule our photographer to re-shoot).
The first of two guest bedrooms is perfect for kids or additional guests. It features a twin-over-queen loft bed, a dresser, two nightstands, and a closet. This room also has direct access to the ensuite bathroom described below. Please note: the upper twin bunk is elevated and best suited for older children. Parents should use their discretion based on their child’s age and comfort level.
The second of the two kids/guest bedrooms has 2 twin beds, a dresser, shared night stand, and a closet.
Given the layout of 5 beds, with 1 king, 1 queen and 3 twins, this unit is ideal for many types of groups, from a family of 1 or 2 parents and 1-4 children, to 2 couples with or without children. While adults will prefer the king and queen bed, the twin beds will also sleep adults comfortably.
The second bathroom is ensuite to the first kids/guest bedroom, and across the hall from the other. This second bathroom also serves as a guest bathroom. It is also recently updated and in a similar style to the master bathroom, but this one contains a single vanity and a full size tub & shower.
The deck contains seating for 4-6 people and is a quiet space to hang out and enjoy views of the lagoon and forest beyond. There is a plastic deck box available for storing cushions. In front of the unit, there is a small service yard with another deck box full of various pool & beach toys, beach chairs, an umbrella, etc.
The large community pool with gas grilling area is a short walk from the unit. Near the pool are several pickleball and tennis courts available for your use. You will find a key in the unit to access the pool and court areas.
Beach access is via the Sea Pines Beach Club, which is approximately 7 mins away by car or 15 mins by bike. The Beach Club has changing rooms, restrooms, and shops, bars and restaurants. Please note that motor vehicle access to the Beach Club is limited during peak season (mid March till Labor Day) and unless you arrive very early and are one of the first 50 vehicles you will not be able to park. Because parking is so difficult in peak season, Sea Pines runs a complimentary, continuous beach shuttle service during that season between 9a-5p. Every year Sea Pines Resort publishes their parking plan for the peak season. The 2025 announcement is at https://cdn.seapinesliving.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/2025-Beach-Parking-Plan-Announcement.pdf. Our digital welcome guide will always contain the latest guidance for the upcoming season. Note that outside peak season you can park at will at the Beach Club and it's easy to find a space. Hilton Head Island also has multiple public beach access options outside of Sea Pines including Alder Lane, Burkes Beach, Coligny Beach Park, Dreissen Beach Park, Fish Haul Beach, Folly Field Beach Park, and Islanders Beach Park.
Discover the Magic of Sea Pines Resort while staying in this unit. Nestled along the breathtaking Atlantic coastline, this iconic community offers an unparalleled blend of relaxation, adventure, and southern charm. Picture yourself exploring the miles of pristine beaches, riding your bike through shaded trails, or taking in the beauty of lush golf courses, including the renowned Harbour Town Golf Links, home to the RBC Heritage PGA tournament. Sea Pines is more than just a resort; it’s a lifestyle. Enjoy luxury shopping and dining in Harbour Town, indulge in sunset cruises or wildlife tours, and don’t miss the iconic Harbour Town Lighthouse—an unforgettable backdrop for any vacation photo. If you're a nature enthusiast, you’ll love the 605-acre Forest Preserve located a short walk from the townhouse, perfect for hiking, fishing, and experiencing the island’s diverse wildlife.
Whether you're looking for family-friendly activities, romantic getaways, or a retreat filled with outdoor adventures, Sea Pines Resort provides it all. And after a day of exploration, unwind in the comfort of your private retreat—your perfect home away from home.
When you book 3423 Carolina Place you'll be dealing directly with the owners Amy & Kevin, not a corporate property manager handling hundreds of units. After confirming your booking we'll send you our digital welcome guide with information about the property, as well as insider tips on some of our favorite places on the island. You can reach us any time during your stay, and we'll do everything we can to help make your vacation fun and memorable. If it's your first time on Hilton Head Island, we'll be happy to give you advice and help you plan your stay, just let us know!
Please note that Sea Pines only allows 3 ways to provide gate passes to short term rental guests. The first is to hand the physical pass directly to you. That doesn't work since we live in Connecticut! The second way is to send you a pass via postal mail. If you book with enough advance notice and request it, we can do that. However most commonly our guests have to use the third way - that's where you go to the Sea Pines Visitor Center, tell them you're a short term guest staying at 3423 Carolina Place, and pay for the pass yourself. The passes are $9/day but you can get one for $20 that is good for 7 days. We are sorry for this inconvenience. Unfortunately Sea Pines doesn't do digital passes or give us a way to pay for passes that others pick up, so these are our only options.
Home notes as of May 25, 2025:
- All vertical blinds been replaced with curtains. Some photos may still show vertical blinds until we're able to schedule our photographer to re-shoot.
- The 3 patio sliders are old and will be replaced in Q4 2025. Please take care when using the sliders.
