About this property
Sun-filled Home in Buckman Neighborhood with 2BRs
Summary:
If you're a fan of great food, craft beer, and pour-over coffee, this is your place. My home is situated in the famous Buckman District, near many of Portland's top-rated restaurants, bars, and vintage shops. Ideal for families, friend groups, and business travelers, my place provides a convenient home base within walking distance of neighborhood hotspots. Experience an authentic taste of how hipsters live in Stumptown from this ideal location.
The Space:
My home exudes unique charm with a cozy, relaxed atmosphere. Large windows flood the space with natural light, and the comfy mattresses are perfect for unwinding. Rainy days are ideal for cuddling up and watching movies on Netflix, supported by blazing fast WiFi for all your streaming needs. If you prefer to dine in, the fully equipped kitchen is ready for your culinary adventures. After a day spent walking, shopping, and eating, you'll love returning to a super comfy queen-size bed. The house features heating to keep you warm in the winter and A/C to ensure you stay cool in the summer.
Guest Access:
You will have the convenience and privacy of coming and going as you please with a secure coded lock on the front door. A unique code will be produced for you that matches the last 4 digits of your phone number. This code will work during the duration of your stay.
The Neighborhood:
Commonly known as "Foodie Row," the Hawthorne/Buckman District places you within walking distance of a diverse array of top-notch local flavors—no chain restaurants here! Make new friends over vegan poutine fries and grilled PB&Js at the Cartopia food cart pod, share a pie at Apizza Scholls (consistently voted Portland’s favorite pizza), or opt for a fancy night out at Castagna—all within a 1.5-mile stretch.
Portland isn’t just for foodies. Hawthorne’s vibrant indie spirit is alive with an abundance of made-in-Oregon shops and boutiques to explore, making it a true hipster haven. Catch a movie at Bagdad Theater and Pub, a revamped 1920s theater turned view-and-brew venue serving local McMenamins food and microbrews.
If bar hopping through neighborhoods isn’t your idea of fun, head up to Mt. Tabor, a 196-acre city park atop a dormant volcano vent. Here, you’ll find miles of hiking trails and incredible panoramic views of the city, perfect for a day of outdoor adventure.
Getting Around:
Staying at our Airbnb puts you in a prime location with a variety of convenient transportation options to explore the city. The neighborhood's excellent WalkScore® means many of Portland's top attractions, dining spots, and shops are just a short stroll away. You'll be steps away from bustling streets like SE Hawthorne Blvd and SE Belmont St, where you can find an eclectic mix of restaurants, cafes, and boutiques.
Portland is known for being bike-friendly, and our location is no exception. You’ll find numerous bike lanes and paths nearby, making it easy and enjoyable to explore the city on two wheels. Bike rentals are available at several nearby shops if you don’t have your own bike, offering a fun and eco-friendly way to get around.
Public transportation is also readily accessible from our location. Several bus lines, including the #14 and #15, have stops within a short walking distance, providing direct routes to downtown Portland, the Pearl District, and other key areas. The nearest bus stop is just a few blocks away, ensuring you can travel quickly and efficiently throughout the city.
If you prefer rideshare services, both Uber and Lyft are widely available and provide a quick and convenient way to get around. Traditional taxis can also be hailed or scheduled in advance for your transportation needs.
For those with a car, on-street parking is available in the neighborhood, though it may be limited during peak hours. Be sure to check for any parking restrictions to avoid fines. There are also nearby parking garages and lots that offer hourly or daily rates if you need more secure or extended parking options.
No matter how you choose to get around, staying at our Airbnb ensures you have easy access to all that Portland has to offer. Enjoy your stay and happy exploring!
Other Things to Note:
The basement space is a a separate personal and office space that I have access to and am in and out of at times. The place is entirely separate and has a separate entrance so there will be no shared spaces.
Interaction with Guests:
I apologize my work schedule is extremely hectic, I will usually be unable to meet in person.
