About this property
Meusebach Creek Farm | Country Cabin for 2
Peter Bonn built this charming stone home for his wife, Caroline Lochte, shortly after their marriage in October 1859. Mr. Bonn farmed the land until 1869, when he divided the home-place between his two sons. Your hostess' grandparents purchased the property in the 1930's and continued to farm the countryside. During the home's existence, it has been a residence, a granary, and a barn. In 1994, your hostess revived the cottage to its present state as a charming getaway from hustle and bustle.
A large front porch invites you to enjoy the country quiet by use of rocking chairs. A living room, bathroom, and kitchen comprise the downstairs. The living room offers a comfortable place to sit and enjoy the television (limited reception with an antenna). With views overlooking the nearby valleys, the kitchen is fully equipped for light cooking. The bath has a shower. Looking out from the back porch, you will be entranced by endless pockets of farmland and meadows.
The original staircase that leads upstairs is steep, so be very careful! The bedroom is upstairs and takes full advantage of the uniquely pitched roof. Exposed wood ceilings and rustic rope trim give you a rich feeling of country appeal. Guests are welcome to venture into the basement and look over some of the family antiques and farm implements.
Please Note: You are renting a cabin in the Hill Country which means you may encounter wildlife (Snakes, Deer, Racoons, ETC). Please be aware of your surroundings, and take caution while driving at night. You may also encounter the various bugs, spiders, scorpions and mice that live in the country AND sometimes do make their way inside. All properties do utilize pest control services on a regular basis BUT this does not guarantee no pests or bugs will be visible.

We love this bed and breakfast home. It feels like home and the host Leola
provides a very good breakfast and extra baked goodies which most B&Bs do not
provide. The peace and solitude of the property is so comforting. We love
watching the wildlife in the area and having a meal on the back porch.
The host was very helpful and polite. We had a cute basket of eggs and sausage waiting in the fridge; and, they also brought little strudels our last night in.Mattress so comfortable, you don’t want to get up; view so beautiful, you don’t want to miss it.Thank you, so much!God bless.
As always our stay was amazing! Perfect place to get away to enjoy some peace and quiet!

Love this GetAway
This is our second time at this lovely place. It is so peaceful, quiet, and off the beaten path. It is clean and has all that you need. The breakfast goodies are perfect. We will be going back a third time.
We loved staying in this Hill Country historic cottage. The hosts have preserved its history and created a very cozy space for a great getaway stay. The amenities were great, including fresh baked goodies and ingredients for breakfast. We would definitely stay again!

Meusebach Creek Cabin
It's a great private secluded cabin with beautiful views. This was our second stay there. Sadly, it may be our last as our knees protested every time we had to use the stairs. It's definitely built for those with total mobility. If the downstairs storage room could be converted to an optional second bedroom, we would definitely be back. It could be advertised as a place for 2 couples with 2 bedrooms or 1 bedroom for the older generation.

Tranquility
I stayed here three nights with my husband. We, but especially me, loved the historic farmhouse in the beautiful country. Check in was very easy. Hostess (Leola?) left us delicious pastry treats each day of our stay plus provided eggs, sausage and bread for breakfast. The house was very clean and enjoyed walking the scenic property. Would like to stay here again sometime.

Historic B&B
Enjoyed staying at this historic home. Loved sitting outside in the early morning enjoying our breakfast and coffee. There were a few deer which came by in the mornings. We enjoyed the goodie's especially the baked goods. Thank you!
