Conch & Lobster Homes - Alligator Reef is a truly special slice of paradise with two individual homes nestled on a privately gated oceanfront estate. The Conch House (pronounced conk) is a three bedroom, two bath ocean front home featuring beautiful views, ocean breezes, your own private pool, plus a private balcony to enjoy the trade winds and sip your margaritas. The Conch can be rented on its own or with its companion home, The Lobster. The Lobster is a cozy two bedroom, two bath home directly behind the Conch. Alligator Reef is truly a hidden oasis, with kayaks, paddle boards, fire pit, a private pool, lounge chairs, hammocks, a summer kitchen, ping pong table and waterfront observation deck, you'll never want to leave. The homes also offer Wi-Fi, cable TV in all the bedrooms and living rooms, stereo systems with iPhone hookups, washer and dryer, and outside stereo system. Alligator Reef is more than just a vacation rental, it's a true Islamorada experience. Pets Allowed.
VACATION RENTAL LICENSE: 24-0389 Per Islamorada's vacation rental ordinances for weekly rentals 2 people per bedroom are allowed, and 2 additional guests if under the age of 6.

If booking more than a year in advance current prices may not reflect the annual cost of living increase.
Many of our guests' re-book the same property on an annual basis. No reservation is confirmed until you speak with us.
Please note: before proceeding with your booking, kindly review the following information. This property is managed by a local Islamorada rental company, Freewheeler Vacations. Payments for your vacation rental will be made thru Freewheeler Vacations. You will also see a charge from VRBO which covers their booking service fee which is already included in the total cost. We prefer payments via personal check or eCheck. However, if you opt to pay by credit card, a 3% convenience fee will be applied to your rental. You will receive the Freewheeler Vacations Vacation Rental Agreement via email, which must be signed before your arrival. All future correspondence will be made through Freewheeler Vacations.

Fabulous home to enjoy the Keys

We’ve stayed in a lot of vrbos and this had the most well equipped kitchen we’ve ever had. Lovely home with views of the ocean. A heated pool, kayaks and paddle boards kept us well entertained. Lots of good nearby restaurants (lazy days was our favorite). Our contact Courtney was so quick to respond to any questions we had. All in all a perfect vacation!

Excellent homes and with all the privacy you could want!

We have always stayed in condos with our group but loved the change this year in having a property all to ourselves. Can’t wait to come back next year!! The staff were super friendly and very easy to work with. We had only a few minor problems while we were here but the response was immediate and issues were resolved!

Needs attention to details

Various items need to be fixed or addressed to make the home safer and more enjoyable - lightbulbs in multiple locations (like downstairs bathroom), a bedroom fan that barely works, a toilet that barely flushes, a bathtub that struggles to drain, an outlet with exposed wires)

Great location and view. The house needs updating. The house needs a good deep cleaning.

We had a very good week at the house. A few issues but we adapted. A lot of small repairs need to be made ask over the house. The grills were filthy and they looked like they haven’t been cleaned in a long time. Shower door rollers are missing and doors are about to fall off. When we arrived the cleaning crew forgot to leave any toilet paper or paper towels anywhere. A/C’s struggled to cool down the houses. Pool is very hot and could use a chiller to make it comfortable. The red kayak has a hole in it and sunk with someone in it about 100 yards offshore. A few other small things need fixing but it is a nice place with a lot of potential just needs a little TLC

Thank you for your review. Good and bad, it helps us to make sure your vacation, and everyone else's', is the best ever. Sorry about the cleaners forgetting the TP and grill, luckily they were there same day super quick to deliver/clean and make sure everyone was taken care of. Ac's in Islamorada, with our humidity, do struggle a tad when you are on Summer vacation. Constant in and out and opening of doors while the ac is turned down too low will make that happen. Luckily those are new AC's! So it's just something to watch esp with kids. Lastly, thanks for letting us know about the kayak! If a guest puts it back, with a hole, we are none the wiser. Great location

The property itself is beautiful, the homes are a bit dated though. All the TV's are not smart which usually isn't a big deal on vacation except when you have kids and you get a few rainy days as we did. The smaller home needs the trees trimmed as when the wind blows it's like someone's hitting the house all night long. Very unpleasant. The kayaks we're great, close to lots of things to do, 2 hrs from key west. But if you're just looking to relax it's a great spot.

Great property for family and/or group of friends

Property looked as good or better than VRBO photos. Fabulous location. We loved the pool and dock. Kitchen well appointed. Porch had nice view of pool and Atlantic. We were with our 4 grown children, 3 spouses, two dogs and a two year old. Having 2 houses let everyone have some space. Great pool area, ping pong, outside ice maker, kitchen, 1/2 bath on lower level. We were able to get a boat to the dock, using stern anchor. Great having access Kayaks was very nice. Fire pit would be fun in cooler weather. Upside down jelly fish were fascinating! Lots of bait fish. Highly recommend Lobster & Conch!
