Explore off the beaten track
Very nice rustical country home, well appointed and extremely quiet. Amish environs are super nice, bakeries, woodshops, and a network of bikeable or hikeable country roads. Definitely not a hotel, but that's just the point of Vrbo. Our highlights were the basement pool table, many old VHS movies, stars at night, hike on the property, picture windows in the living room. Very nice
Good Value if You Know What You're Getting Into
Booked this place just to get away from everything for a while. Which you certainly do here. You just want to know more details about the place, first.
The house is, essentially, your great grandma's house. The beds are all old and springy with crinkly mats on them. Definitely some dust and hair found in the rooms. Almost every outlet in the place is an old 2-prong one. Lots of plates, cups, etc. provided!
The basement contains the pool table, dart board, and basketball game (which I was very much looking forward to), but it's also very dank and dark. There was some water flowing through cracks and cobwebs everywhere - especially by the shower stall.
The bathroom is pretty tiny, but workable. The living room is a nice area, with a couple of couches and chairs - pretty comfy. There's a small TV with a DVD player (and a VCR which didn't work). We spent a lot of time playing board games, which was lovely.
The outdoor area is really nice. It's near the road, but still quite isolated. If you're outside people, you'll have lots of room. There's an amazing Amish bakery just a few miles away!
I think it's a bit overpriced for the level of cleanliness and quality of the house. However, if you're bringing a small family and plan to spend time outside enjoying yourselves, this might be just the place for you.
Property grounds are awesome!
House could use some updating but it was fine for our stay. The bed in the middle bedroom sank in the middle so it definitely needs replaced ASAP. Location was fabulous as were the grounds of the property. We enjoyed our stay here.
Thank appreciate your comments. The bedding in the house is all less than two years old, and I personally slept in the middle bedroom the other night and did not notice any sagging. We're glad you enjoyed your stay.
Great place to explore.
Big property with lots of land to explore if thats what you're into. Lots of things to do in the house too.
Great Amish Country getaway
Fully equipped home, kids will love the yard. We had everything we needed, except a nitelight would have been nice, its very dark and quiet. I would recommend it, and hope to return.
So glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. One of the many benefits of the property is the privacy and wide open spaces for people of all ages to enjoy.
Thank you for the very kind words. We hope you will keep us in mind the next time you visit the area and welcome your return.
Location was great! Had some issues with cleanliness and water pressure. No Wifi.
Great property in the country. Owner was great! Good place to slow down and see nature.
Thank you for the comments. Yes, we think the location is pretty awesome. It is with comments from guests like you that will help us serve future guests.
