Very cool to stay in a unique building right on Chocolate ave. It took a bit of exploring to find the entrance. The description provided by the host helped. Parking was easy in municipal lot. And we were within walking distance to everything. We were even able to walk to Chocolate World.
The place was very clean. The beds were not very comfortable and the two small ACs had a hard time keeping up, at least when we were there and it was in the 80s with high humidity. Accessing the apartment wasn’t great- you have to go to a few flights of narrow winding stairs.
What a great stay! My wife, son and I all enjoy everything about this rental! The location can’t be beat, it was clean and had everything we needed for a fun start to our Christmas holiday in Hershey! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great place in a great location.
Smooth process for booking and check in/check out. Apartment is in downtown Hershey, so walkable distance to practically anything you would need. I would stay here again for sure.
Couldn’t have asked for a better location as it was such a short distance to all of our activities (Giant Center, Hershey Park/ Chocolate World! Phil’s Italian restaurant downstairs was phenomenal, great service and staff was amazing. Our room was the perfect size for my husband and I, will definitely be back!
Can’t beat the location of this place. A short drive to all major Hershey attractions. Check in was as easy as it gets and it’s obvious the owners are committed to making your stay a positive experience. The complementary bottle of wine was a nice touch as well as the candy to truly kick off our Hershey experience. If you’re looking for an affordable place that’s close to all the action, check this place out!
Our stay was pleasant enough. Getting there and parking was very confusing with all the one way streets. Our room was on the top floor, and the steps were very steep. Luckily we are healthy so got up the steps no problem. The room was sufficient. The kitchen lacked many basic essentials. The beds were both very creaky. My son had to move the mattress to the floor because every time he moved, the whole room would wake up because of how creaky the bunk bed was. I raised this with the owner, who offered to refund us if we chose to stay somewhere else, but there were literally no other rooms available in Hershey for the next 2 nights otherwise I would have moved. The room rate was great, which is what made this place 3 stars. And the host was very nice.
We were happy from check in until checkout. The only complaint we would have is the climbing the very steep narrow stairs. Which we knew about prior to check in. Host was great and very accomodating, close walk or drive to all we had planned.
The location was perfect for us and everything we wanted to do. The apartment suited our needs entirely, we had everything we needed and everything was clean and organized.
This adorable apartment happens to be above the best Italian restaurant in Hershey. As soon as we got there we got the VIP treatment which consisted of discounted delicious food and free wine. The apartment itself is clean and more spacious then the pictures show. Another huge plus is that it is in the center of Hershey and you can walk everywhere or take a complementary bus to the park. My fiancé and I had a blast and we will definitely be back again.
Very adequate for our our 2 night stay with our 2 grandsons to spend a day at Hershey Park. Needed a dishcloth and dish towels in kitchen Clean except for large hair gob in shower drain. Could have used a few more hand towels in the bathroom. A closet rod with clothes hangers would be very helpful. Could not find a way to watch the regular live tv networks (abc, cbs, nbc, fox) for scheduled network programs - not a fan of streaming! The bottle of wine and chocolate bar was a nice touch!
This property was in a great location and was wonderful to stay in. There is a short and fairly easy climb up the stairs, as mentioned in the description, but no big deal at all. The property was clean and in great shape, so we highly recommend it. All of the beds are in one room, so make sure that accommodates your wishes. The main bed could use some updating, but we were able to sleep fairly comforably. The location is above a fantastic Italian restaurant that is both highly-reviewed and excellent. The property is right down town in Hershey, so an easy and enjoyable walk everywhere in town and a short drive to anywhere else you wish to visit.
We were only at the property for two nights, but the location was perfect and worked great for our family of four. It was an easy walk from the municipal lot to the building (though we accidentally took the back stairs since I saw the open door at the back of the building). You want to go onto the patio—and the door is well marked! It would be a challenge for those with mobility issues, especially since it’s an older building and the staircase is somewhat narrow. We didn’t have a problem with it though I was glad we didn’t have a lot of heavy suitcases. Hersheypark was a 5 minute drive and downtown Hershey was two flights down from our room—you’re in it! I do wish we’d gotten in a bit earlier to check out the Hershey museum across the street, but it closed at 5pm.
I would highly recommend staying here.
