Our stay here was just the thing we needed...relaxing, quiet, peaceful. We spent the entire first day on the little beach, reading and watching freighters go by. Convenient to all the things we wanted to do and see.

Charming indeed! The location, walk to the river, fire pit (along with the supplies) were perfect. We really appreciated the snacks and drinks that the host left for us to enjoy. There was even a jar of local honey that was a lovely surprise.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and would do so again if we are in the area. This place was quiet and relaxing. Although a road was closed to the quickest way to get to SSM, the detour was only 10 minutes longer. We spent time outside just watching the freighters from the property. You can also see them go by from sitting in the living room. So glad we found this gem and was available for our visit.

Great property on the shore of the river. I saw three freighters go by. The house was clean enough but is undergoing renovations. Most of the house is still awaiting reno. The bathroom is where the most help is needed. Please ditch the carpet around the toilet, for starters. But the shoreline is why you book this property. Quite and private!

This was a pleasant place to stay. The hosts are hospitable and the view is excellent for watching the freighters! There are parts of the home that are being redone but it doesnt impact the home's comfortability or functionality. We enjoyed our stay here!

Some things that could use improvement: the king mattress was uncomfortably soft, the bathroom needs a shelf above the vanity and hooks to hang towels. The kitchen was very well stocked with all flatware and cookware you might need. The reclining couch has issues with closing the footrest . Overall though, we really enjoyed our stay, especially the opportunity to view the big lake freighters sailing up and down the St. Mary's River and also enjoyed using the fire pit by the river.

Ryan is the son of the team and lives a few miles down the road. We look forward to having you as guests and for you to enjoy the beautiful Sault Ste Marie.

Why they chose this property

We have lived in this area for many years and enjoy the wonderful neighbors and freighters passing closely by. We are just outside of the City of Sault Ste. Marie limits but still very close to town. We enjoy having fires by the river and kayaking.

This property is very unique as it has neighbors close by but it is a very private setting with a private beach.
