OUR ADDRESS: Lakefront Secluded Log Cabin! Want to be one with nature? THIS IS IT! Our log cabin is lakefront on OUR 24 acre PRIVATE LAKE situated
on 105 wooded acres. THEY can sleep 4 comfortably. The 12 X 24 cabin has a kitchen & dining area and complete bathroom. There is 1 full size bed and 2 bunk beds. It has
heat & a/c to make your stay more comfortable. Towels, linens and utensils are all there.
To watch nature you can sit on the front porch or by the fire pit. In the evening you will hear the loons on the lake. This is a nature lover's paradise! FRIDAY & SATURDAY ARE ALWAYS RENTED TOGETHER!!!!

The place would be great, but drought, which isn't their fault, basically made the lake inaccessible, so we couldn't really fish or swim.

We very much enjoyed our time here. It’s a beautiful spot with lots of wildlife on the lake and the sunrises with mist over the lake were truly magical. We took advantage of the rail trail nearby, visited the Amish country, went to Jay’s (great quality products), and had great baked goods at the Cops and Doughnuts bakery in Clare. The Chamber of Commerce in Clare at the old railroad station was very helpful to us. The only slight downside for us was that the hot water in the cabin took a little while to get to the shower and the water also had a sulfurous odor to it, which usually dissipated after it set for a little while. Great place which we’d recommend to friends who may be interested.

Hidden Beauty

This place was amazing. My wife and I came in from Oklahoma, and we chose this place because of the location and the occlusion away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It was everything that we expected and more. There is an abundance of wildlife to enjoy on a daily basis. If you are planning to do any fishing on their lake plea inquire, it’s the fisher biting. Denise, the host is very attentive to your needs. She can answer any questions that you have and she responds quickly.

Humble and sweet. Everything you need is there. I loved the feeling of being far away from civilization. The cabin was clean and lake was beautiful. We had drinks by a fire and enjoyed ourselves.

A place of being with nature in all of its beauty

The property was calming and inspiring -- so much to learn about Mother Nature and enjoy the simplicity and sublimity at the same time. Wish all of creation would be as appreciated and celebrated as it is at the cabin and with its caretakers.

A perfect place to hibernate

Booked this property for my hubby and his dog to have a quick solo getaway. Communication with the host was incredibly smooth, and she was incredibly kind. Hubby found the house well appointed and just step from the private lake. It was the perfect place for a quiet getaway.

Lakeside Cabin Getaway

Ever drive by those signs promoting Lakeside Cabins in northern Michigan? This is one of those properties. Really cute tiny house cabins on a small lake give you all you need for a weekend getaway. Clean, nice and dog-friendly. Five stars!

Just what I needed

I was looking for a weekend get away from the busy and chaotic city. I definitely found it at this place. The cabin was very welcoming and cozy. I was so looking forward to just relax and unwind and enjoy nature at it’s best. This place did not disappoint. Looking forward to my next stay here. Great Nature Get-Away

This is a beautiful property on a clean and healthy private lake that was great for exploring in our canoe. There was essentially no algae in the lake, just lots of lilly pads and water plants and clear water. It was too cold to swim, but we would have, and there is a nice swimming dock. We saw many turtles and frogs, fish (no license needed), deer, chipmunks and squirrels, and lot of birds. The nature sounds are amazing. We found trails to follow and we explored them around the property. Our little cabin was clean, perfect size for two people, and had everything we needed to cook including a oven and stove and fridge. There is also a weber charcoal grill. There is a nice grocery store just down the road so you don't need to pack any food. We had plany of hot water. The host is very nice and provided plenty of firewood and picked up our full garbage when asked.

What a wonderful little spot in the woods. Far enough from a city for stars and far enough from a word to not hear cars yet anything we wanted was a 15 minute drive away. We loved our stay in our cozy cabin!

PLEASE READ BEFORE INQUIRING ABOUT OUR RENTAL!!!! This will save you some time:) Our rental sleeps four comfortably. We do allow tents set up but plan on paying additional money per tent and per person.The cabin is $95.00 (most nights) for up to 4 guest per night. Each additional guest per night is $10.00. We do allow some pets/dog only.
HOW MUCH IN ADDITION FOR A PET?
Depending on the age and breed we charge $20.00 a night for a pet. Maximum 2 pets allowed. We reserve the right to refuse pets under a 1 1/2 year old & certain breeds. We may charge a $25.00 pet cleaning fee and a 50 lb. max on each pet. PLEASE do not ask to bring a puppy.
WHAT ARE OUR CANCELLATION POLICY? We ask that you please give us at least a seven (7) day notice if you intend to cancel or move your reservation to a different date. If we receive the seven day notice your deposit will be refunded
otherwise you forfeit your deposit.
DO WE REQUIRE A MINIMUM AMOUNT OF NIGHTS TO STAY?
Yes. The minimum is at least two (2) nights.
CAN OUR RENTAL START ON SATURDAY?
No. Weekends HAVE TO INCLUDE FRIDAY & SATURDAY NIGHT!



Why they chose this property

All holiday weekends have to be a three day minimum rental. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night.
We are located on 105 acres in the middle of the woods and surrounded by more woods beyond. Our closest neighbor is 1 1/2 miles away.


What makes this property unique

Our lake is approximately 25 acres. IT IS OUR OWN PRIVATE LAKE. WE DO NOT ALLOW ANYONE ON IT BUT OUR GUESTS!
The fishing is fantastic on our lake! It is 14' deep out in the middle. It is spring fed and tends to get weedy. We advise bringing weedless hooks with you.
We have largemouth & smallmouth bass, pike, bluegill, sunfish, & catfish. We also allow ice fishing in the winter months.
We rent pedal boats. We also encourage our guest to bring their own small fishing boat with small motor, canoe or kayaks..
Our lake is spring fed so it can tend to get a little weedy. Some guest do go out in the middle of the lake by boat and swim off our floating swim platform.
We are open year round so there are snowmobile trails in our area and of course Rails to Trails a little over 5 miles away.
You may trailer atvs to Harrison where they have trails.
We have listed some places of interest already on our site. You can Google our area to see what is going on in the Central Michigan area to find your specific interest.
3:00pm is check in time. Wanting to arrive early then pay for the night before and you"ll be able to come in at the crack of dawn.
11:00am is check out time. We suggest if you're wanting to stay all day then pay for another night ahead of time so you can have all the extra time to stay late. We have these times posted so we can get our rentals ready for our next guest. Sorry:(
We sell a nice stack of fire wood for $10.00 each and will have it waiting for your arrival.
Unfortunately, we have no boat ramp. You can rent a pedal boat starting at $25.00.
