I will update when open.**Welcome to Golf Shores Condominiums (units 135 & 136) on beautiful Hill Lake nestled just 20 minutes south of Grand Rapids, MN and 25 minutes from Aitken. This delightful condo has a unique set-up as it offers two separate living spaces adjoined by a lockable door! Both units boast stunning lake front views, fully stocked full bathrooms and heat/AC & WI-FI. Unit 136 comfortably sleeps 5 with a queen bed, twin/double bunk bed, and a twin size futon. Enjoy the unit’s TV, dorm sized refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and closet to store your personal items. Unit 135 is a darling efficiency style condo complete with a fully stocked kitchen, oven, stove, and refrigerator/freezer. The bright and cheerful living area comes complete with a twin sized futon and a queen bed with luxury linens. We also have a cot available if needed. Enjoy the breeze and sparkling lake views from the private, covered patio that spans across both units. The patio is accessible by both units and includes outdoor dining, two adirondack chairs, and a zero gravity lounger to relax and enjoy your favorite beverage (some items will be stored seasonally)! We also have a BBQ gas grill to use but we cannot guarantee propane will be restocked if it runs empty. You will feel relaxed and right at home as you take in the sky high vaulted ceiling, modern conveniences and ‘up north’ style decor. Additionally, you will have access to resort amenities including and indoor sauna, hot tub, theater room, game room, on-site free laundry and much more!
Outside:
We are thrilled to announce that we now have two kayaks that you may use (seasonally.) Hill City is the perfect place to explore! Fishing enthusiasts and thrill seekers of water recreation will not be disappointed by Hill Lake’s grand 794 acres to explore! The condo includes its own boat slip on the property’s private doc so bring your water toys and enjoy! The boat launch is a quick 5 minute drive from the property. Trailer parking is available in designated areas. Golf shores has its own sandy beach, volleyball court, and huge fire pit for all to enjoy! A word of caution: summertime produces weeds in the swimming area but Hill City has a public beach and swimming area on Hill Lake. If you prefer land activities, don’t hesitate to bring your land toys so you can explore the 100s of miles of near-by hiking, ATV, snowmobile & cross country ski trails. If you love golf, Quadna Hills Golf course is an affordable 9-hole course that is adjacent to the property (seasonal, closes after Labor Day). Since we are open year around, ice fishing, snowmobilers, ATVs and hunters are welcome and will enjoy warming up after a long day in the hot tub or sauna.

ATV riding weekend. Honestly didn't spend much time in the room or have a chance to use any of the extra amenities that are available. It was neat and clean, and located about a half-mile from the ATV trail system. Plenty of parking. Was nice to have 2 full bathrooms and showers, and we did enjoy having morning coffee on the patio overlooking the lake.

Very nicely decorated property, great deck and deck view, lake views from the windows are very nice! The property was clean and nicely stocked. A nice surprise with the cute little stocked coffee bar!There are some water issues with sediment, but according to the property manager will be remedied soon.A nice walking trail opposite side of the golf course. :)

No complaints. We were unable to enjoy any of the outdoor amenities with it being middle of January. The place was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our short stay. Would certainly stay here again.

Our stay was great the host was great communicated well with us and even had nice little extras including toiletries and some random snacks even laundry pods for us to wash laundry at the on site laundry room the building as a whole was kind of a maze but the on site managers were happy to help and give us a tour so we could find all the extra amenities all in all we had a great stay from a friendly host and would recommend the property as a clean comfortable budget friendly place to stay thanks again

The actual condo/rooms were in good clean condition and accurately described in the Vrbo listing, but the rest of the amenities/property were not fairly portrayed. I would more describe this so called ‘resort’ as contractor housing or low income apartments. We were the only ones staying that didn’t live there. The main lodge entrance had a couch and a table full of residents mail and belongings. The ‘sales’ office looked like a hoarders unkept storage shed. The whole place was a maze. No signage or direction to the hot tub which was a stand alone 4 person square in a cement room with a dirty sponge on the edge and the chemicals and used test strips sitting on a bench. Sauna had no water available and no drain in the floor. Game room had a plastic foosball table and ping pongtable that u couldn’t set a ball on without rolling off. PTheatre room had no internet and all were connected by filthy unkept unfinished rooms. Whole basement had a pretty gross smell. Pipes leaking. Ceiling tiles falling. Outside grounds unkept. Dock was partially falling in. Lake appears to be mostly slime with little water. No way in hell I would ever consider standing on a paddleboard in it due to the chance of falling in. Gross.

Wonderful, Peaceful Property!

We visited Hill City for the 4th of July to celebrate and visit family. We wanted our own space to retreat to with our two children and this property was perfect! It sits just outside of town, away from the crowds but close enough to quickly get back to the fun! The units were clean, nicely organized and had everything we could have needed if we forgot something. The view of Hill Lake is gorgeous. I highly recommend this place if you need a quiet, peaceful lake retreat!

Just as described Unit

This was a great place to stay. We had 6 people and 1 in a wheelchair for this stay. We were able to get the wheelchair into the unit with no problems. Note that a wheelchair can not fit in the bathrooms which we knew ahead of time, but that wasn't a problem for us. Very clean, spacious rooms. The deck has a great view of the lake. We enjoyed swimming in the lake and the hot tub on site. Next time we are in the area we would definitely stay here again. The hosts were very quick to answer our questions before our stay.

Pictures were accurately of the units we rented, Outside pictures were not accurate- beach needed cleaning, tidying up. One section of dock not usable, A stairway down to the beach and dock would have been nice. People need to clean up after their dogs! (Poop bags left by outside doors) Building/hallways were dark and dated. Hope the HOA can work on the overall issues. We really enjoyed the lake and the fishing.

It has always been our dream to have a place for our family to enjoy on the water since we are such huge outdoor enthusiasts! From the moment I walked into our cozy units and saw the beautiful lake view on that awesome patio I was hooked! The sunsets will truly amaze you! We knew we would not be able to be there as often as we want because of having a busy family so we are excited to be able to host and share our love for nature with you!

Why they chose this property

I grew up in a small town and felt right at home in Hill City! I have fond memories growing up as a little girl going to our friend's house on a lake in Grand Rapids so this just seemed like the perfect fit! Another thing that hooked us on this property is the amount of green space that's available. There are so many homes and condos that have limited space for you to enjoy yard games and let your dogs exercise. We have a golden retriever and a hound mix that love to romp around on the grass and on the beach. I love that the property is open and you don't have a bunch of outdoor buildings obstructing your view. If you want great nightlife, look no further than Hill City but Grand Rapids definitely has more to offer! Whether you wanna be on the water or on land, there's plenty to do right in your own backyard! Bring your golf gear, fishing gear, ATVs, snowmobiles, and more to enjoy this small town approximately 20 minutes from Grand Rapids!

What makes this property unique

What I think makes our property unique is yes it's a condo but it's not like condos where you are on a huge property several feet from the beach. We are right on the beach and with our family, the condo works out perfectly! My husband and I stay in room 135 and our kids enjoy their privacy in 136! You get resort amenities at a very reasonable cost for a lakefront hotel style experience!
