Excellent stay in an amazing piece of history! Very comfortable and roomy in a great setting. Fantastic details like the retro lamps and incredible oven. Can't wait to come back!
Great stay in such a cool and unique house! If you're wanting hotel amenities, get a hotel. But if you want a unique piece of history on the most relaxing and charming working farm and stable, and a very welcoming property owner this is the spot. I already miss waking up and reading on the porch while watching the cows.
I loved my stay. I was greeted by the property owners and given a tour and my key. I also met Not My Kitty who is super sweet and joined me for breakfast the next day. I did not know the historical significance of the Lustron house and I truly enjoyed learning about it. It is so cool. I also enjoyed the property. I wandered the next morning with coffee and saw the goats, cows and horses. The hosts had everything you could want on the property for my stay and the check out was super easy! I will definitely stay here again if I have the chance.
This property was a perfect getaway. Between the nostalgic backstory and home decor, it was perfect. And the bonus is that if you love animals, spend the time with the horses, cows, goats, and chickens. HIGHLY recommend the home if you want peace and quiet. The Host, Mark was incredible and very accessible. I will be back next time I come to North Carolina. Definitely 5star rating
Pristine, well-appointed, comfortable place to stay for a great price. A very unique home with significant history. We enjoyed our overnight stay and the hosts were very kind. It has a K-Cup machine/coffee pot combo with all necessities to go along with it for that mandatory morning cup of coffee Thanks for a memorable visit!
