About the host
Hosted by Crett Mitchell
I was born and raised in Manaassas, VA. I graduated from the University of Virginia with a BA in Economics and later went on and earned an MBA from George Washington University. I spent 50 years in Virginia before moving to Redondo Beach, CA. I spend half the year hosting in Cody, WY, the other half I host at my beach house in Redondo Beach, CA. I enjoy all sports especially football and college basketball. I am also an avid fly fisherman which is one reason I love this Cabin. The Shoshone River is blue ribbon fly fishing at its best. I discovered my love of hosting through experimentation. There is something amazing about sharing my home with travelers I have never met, learning about their lives, their values and opinions and then wishing them well on their travels, realizing that I may likely never see them again. Hosting truly adds value to my life.
Why they chose this property
I was looking for something completely oppositive from the southern California beach house that I loved so much and still have today. As soon as I entered Cody, WY, and felt that small town energy from the town and amazing people, I knew this was the place for me. It was a time warp back to my growing up years in Manassas, VA. I wanted a cabin in the mountains close to town. After months of searching, I was starting to lose hope in finding something. On my second trip to Cody I walked into this cabin in Wapiti, 20 minutes from town. This was it! Authentic log cabin with upscale, professional interior design. This was it, for sure. Here I am. I expect you will experience the same awe and amazement.
What makes this property unique
It really is quite simple. Ask yourself why you are in Cody, WY. What are you looking for. Most people come to Yellowstone to experience adventure. Underground thermals, geysers, wild herds of elk, incredible views, scenic lakes and gushing rivers, and so much more unleashes an energy that takes you out of you routine everyday life. Adventure awakens the spirit and reboots your sole. This Cabin simply stated multiplies the Yellowstone Adventure affect while providing modern comforts and style. Come and see for yourself.
