Escape to the desert oasis & stay at our peaceful Mid-century ranch in 29 Palms just 20 minutes from Joshua Tree National Park! The property sits on a vantage point with 360 views of Indian Cove, Big Bear, Cleghorn Wilderness, and is full of breathtaking sunsets.
You'll find a blend of rustic elegance and modern comfort, all set on 4 acres of private serene desert landscape. There are outdoor amenities such as the cowboy pool, soaking tub, fire pit or stargazing deck with provided telescope.
The space
Sunset Mesa Ranch offers a peaceful escape with two cozy bedrooms, one bath, and ample outdoor space on a 3.6-acre fenced lot. Our amenities include

Guest access
Main house, all exterior land within fence. No access inside camper on property.
Host will share a PDF file of complete house manual with check-in/out guide before each guest's arrival and lock code of the digital combination lock for self check-in.
Other things to note
Here are some important rules /precautions to keep in mind during your stay at the Sunset Mesa Ranch:
- No smoking
- Please observe the quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- If you plan to bring a pet (dog) with you, please let the host know before booking. You must claim the pet when booking your stay. There is a +$50pet fee (service animals are exempt from fee).
-You are not permitted to have any guests on the property beyond those included in your rental agreement unless you request and receive advanced permission. That includes day guests and overnight guests.
- No parties, events, and large gatherings
- Children and pets must be supervised by an adult at all times.
- Please do not flush anything other than toilet paper, as the house runs on a septic system
-We offer two barbecue grills. At times there are propane shortages in our area, this is why we offer both charcoal and propane BBQ grills.
-Cowboy Pool is open in the summer (June-September) only
-Please ensure that you SECURELY cover the top to the Cowboy pool to prevent sand getting in after each use.
Neither the host nor the host's agents can assure the safety of persons using property containing a hot tub. As a consequence, guests assume liability for pool use by themselves, other occupants, their guests, and their pets.
-Washer & Dryer use is available to guests extended stay 2+days
EXERCISE FIRE SAFETY: fire pit use prohibited during high winds, put out fire pit with sand or water if not in use, only burn wood in the fire pit, do not use lighter fluid or chemicals or burn other materials. Thank you
-Keep a safe distance from any wild animals you may encounter.
-Do not attempt to feed or approach any wildlife.
-Keep all doors and windows closed when not in use to prevent animals from entering the rental.
-Avoid leaving any food or garbage outside, as this may attract wildlife to the area.
-Guest agrees to release, indemnify, hold harmless and forever discharge Host and Host's employees, agents, successors and assigns from any and all claims, liabilities or causes of action of any kind that guest, members of guest's household or guest's guests or invitees may have at any time against Host or Host's agents resulting from guest's use all amenities located on this property.
