Escape to the serenity of a secluded cabin right on a clear mountain river. Hear the soothing sounds of the rapids as you sit on the deck and eat a meal, cozy up by the outdoor fireplace, or relax in the large hot tub. The short winding stairs will bring you right into the small river so you wade in or try your fishing luck in the famous Fightingtown creek.
Inside you see the stone fireplace, a tree trunk in the middle of the cabin, a large kitchen with tons of real wood live edge counter space, a large fridge with front access filtered water/ice, a master bedroom with direct access to the deck, and a dual sink bathroom.
Upstairs you'll find the air hockey and dart board, an additional master bedroom with a walk in closet, vaulted ceiling, another dual sink jack and jill bathroom, and two cubby twin beds. This cabin has something for everyone who just needs to get away from it all. Let the sasquatch show you around as you experience this true all wood cabin with tons of personality

Communication was quick, property was as described and incredibly relaxing! Would definitely stay here again in the future! Sitting in the hot tub while listening to the sound of the river was our favorite activity!
Beautiful property! It rained the entire time we were there but it did not dampen the trip as there was plenty of things at the cabin to do. The hosts were amazing and always answered any questions or concerns promptly. Would go back!
Best VRBO we stayed at! Scott has everything so organized and labeled with instruction cards and wonderful check in book. Loved all the thoughtful touches, like towels for hot tub and towels for the river. Very pet friendly, has blankets for pups along with bowls, poop bags, and our favorite outdoor shower with spray wand to wash off pup easy. The housekeeper, keeps the place very clean and taken care off. Pictures don't do this place justice. It is very peaceful and excellent outdoor space. The only negative is that we had to leave!
Great cabin! Loved the view of the River, and enjoyed the fireplace on the back deck on the cool mornings with coffee.Great communication with the owner, would definitely stay here again
This was such a great getaway cabin ! Clean , secluded , only 20 min from blue ridge and only a few minutes down the road from a sweet mountainside market that has a deli/restaurant and grocery. We loved being on the river with a fire pit , hot tub and huge covered deck . This will definitely be a cabin we stay at again !
Our stay at Sasquatch River Retreat was wonderful! The cabin was spotless and thoughtfully prepared for guests with pets — they provided throw blankets, towels, and even left treats for our arrival, which was such a nice touch. The hot tub was clean and well-maintained, and we appreciated the dedicated towels provided specifically for it.The kitchen was well-stocked with just about everything we needed for our stay, making it easy to cook and feel at home.
The cabin was perfect. Secluded from neighbors enough that you couldn’t see anyone or hear them enjoying their vacation. Relaxing on the back porch and enjoying the sounds of the creek in the backyard was the Best.
The pictures of this place do not do it justice! This place is truly Heaven! The porch faces the water, with a TV, fireplace, hot tub, and it is the most relaxing porch ever! Scott was so very helpful, and so quick to respond. He was so very nice even after I kept bothering him. The best host ever, honestly. They really have thought of everything you would need for your vacation. My dog loved every second as well. Being able to run around the wonderful large yard, and not have to worry about neighbors, because it is super private. The cabin is so convenient to downtown Blue Ridge, I do not do curvy mountain roads too well and no worries here. You can literally be to down town in like 5-10 minutes. Although, we didn't leave the cabin but once, it was so relaxing. Thank you for sharing your little slice of Heaven with us! Everything was perfect! We will be back!
We really enjoyed the location and the quiet relaxation it provided. The kitchen had all that we needed to cook a meal if we so desired. We enjoyed playing air hockey, darts, and cornhole. However, the back porch with the river flowing by was so relaxing. We had a great trip.
This cabin is a hidden gem close to Blue Ridge and McCaysville. Quaint and secluded but close enough to any amenities you possibly need. The covered back porch with the TV and gas fireplace were perfect on those chilly Blue Ridge nights. The hot tub was a perfect destination after the long days hiking to the many waterfalls in the area. The fire pit close to the creek made for a relaxing evening with all the sights and sounds of nature. Scott and Christine are phenomenal hosts and the cabin was in perfect condition with all the amenities you need for a weeklong stay. My husband and I enjoyed our time here and will definitely be back!
Nestled in the woods down a picturesque quiet road is this special gem! The cabin is even better than described on the site! As soon as we walked in the door, we felt right at home! Great views, relaxing deck overlooking the creek with a warm deck fireplace - This is where I spent most of my time as it was so peaceful! The woodwork and finishes inside the cabin were beautiful and with the fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms, we didn’t have to run to town for something we forgot. Scott and Christine thought of every detail to make our stay relaxing! They were great hosts and kept in contact with us if we needed anything or had any questions! They even added an extra touch by recognizing our anniversary and my husband’s birthday! Thank you! We are so thankful we found the Sasquatch River Retreat!
