Kimberly Creek Retreat was founded and developed by Mike Kennedy and Chris Petersen. They both had a desire to bring something unique and family-friendly to Nebraska. Both families are intimately involved in the construction and operation. Kimberly Creek Retreat was the first glamping site established with domes in Nebraska. Our goal is to have families have a great customer experience with the luxuries of home. It is not camping; it is glamping.

Why they chose this property

Kimberly Creek Retreat is situated on over 20 acres of wooded land that features hills, cliffs, Pawnee Creek, fire pits, hiking trails, picnic areas, and much more. Our activities include experiences for both kids and adults. We are located minutes from Mahoney State Park, the SAC Museum, the Henry Doorly Safari Park, wineries, and small town boutiques.

We focus on maintaining a natural environment that is a healthy ecosystem, which supports both wildlife and our Glampers. We cannot guarantee that you will see specific species of wildlife during your stay, as they are just that, wild. But do not be surprised if you hear coyotes or owls as you sit by your fire.

What makes this property unique

Kimberly Creek Retreat is a private retreat that has a great location. Glampers can enjoy nature and yet have a bit of city life, being 30 minutes from Lincoln and Omaha in Nebraska. Nestled in a private sanctuary that is so close to neighboring attractions and local festivities.

Each cabin is unique and different in style and aesthetics. No cabin is the same, offering different sleeping arrangements, heightened amenities, and a different stylized design.

Additionally, Kimberly Creek is pet-friendly. All of our structured cabins allow pets with an additional pet fee. The domes are not allowed to have pets due to their fabrication and structure. This makes it a great stay for our furry glampers during holidays, like Fourth of July, or if glamping is on their bucket lists!
