Whacky, Weird & Wonderfully Enchanting in this 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom Bed and Breakfast inside 2 two-story brand new grain bins with a large red barn adjoining them where you will enjoy a full breakfast in the common area "roost" complete with dining room, living room, coffee bar and general store.
Hermann Grain Bins BNB is the marriage of my passions of cooking, planning parties, having friends and family over at my home and my life on the family farm!
So, to create my dream, I took the look of the farm for the exterior design by using two large 30 foot traditional new farm grain bins, a red and white barn, and gave it the FUNKY look and bright colors I love in the design twist in the interior design. This project and dream make my heart sing and bring a smile to my face. The exterior of the Hermann Grain Bins BNB may for all practical purposes look like a farm scene, but when you open the doors, you will see the inside of me laughing and giggling as I add something here and something there to add color and fun inside for myself and my guests. Even the front door is a one of a kind design, a hand carved pirate’s ship in solid wood. It’s a massive door that let’s you enter the world of enchantment and mystical creation at the Bins.
The bright colors, weird shapes, odd artwork, things that don’t match but have a rhyme and rhythm of their very own, and all that I can find on my many treasure hunts (I am a huge fan of resale shopping) can be found in the interior and the HEART of the BINS. Take the best of the world of bohemian design, maybe some hippie flare and throw in eclectic and you have my style and passion for WEIRD. I am so very proud of my WEIRD and carry it
ferociously inside the BINS. It took me a long time, most of my life, to embrace my WEIRD. I broke out of the belief of relatives that everything has to matchy, matchy a long time ago. You will witness this upon opening the door.
So enjoy the whacky, weird and wonderful creativity and imagine what you too can do in your life to live your life, blossom your passions into an adventure above and beyond what you always thought was holding you back. ENJOY your stay at the BINS!
Enjoy and let your “weirdness” show while you enjoy and relax at The Bins, Hugs and Peace forever, Donna

About the host
Hosted by Donna Joerling

We have a beautiful, bodacious and colorful place to stay, sometimes it feels completely magical to our guests and friends. The 45 foot pine tree forest surrounds most of the complex and allows a fresh breeze as well.
We love to cook and have fun and make new friends. We provide a full homemade breakfast by our innkeeper and changes as local produce and such is available. Breakfast is made for you each morning and served between 9-10:30. There are two large dining room tables, one for each guest grain bin group to use and sit together and have a fine meal. There is also a coffee/tea bar for you to enjoy your sipping pleasure before the meal begins.

Why they chose this property
We chose this 11 acre tract of land, surrounded by cattle pastures, a vineyard owned by Stone Hill Winery and because it is rural and lies just outside Hermann, Mo 14 miles an easy drive or call for the Hermann Trolley to come pick you all up.
The forest of pine trees, some 45' tall and unwavering in their beauty and strength beckon you to the "land of magik" from the time you step out of your vehicle and step onto the land, you can feel the healing occur. There is fun and fantasy abound in this land so stop and enjoy the joys of life that Mother Nature gifts us every day with fresh air and peace as well.

What makes this property unique
Pine tree forest gives you a good background for your adventure! Enjoy the beauty of Mother Nature and see what she has to offer with every breath you take and every smile your face enjoys! There are also four beautiful loving kittens. Two are twin black kittens and the other two are twin tiger kitties. They run around and play in the woods and live in the fire pit grain bin with their own entrance in and out for protection. When you rock your chairs, be careful not to get their little tails caught under the rocking chairs pretty please.
