Everything about our stay was easy. Our hosts were easy to contact and provided prompt replies to our questions, even before we booked. The check-in process went smoothly. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. We were especially pleased with the price, given the location of the apartment. We would definitely recommend this property.

Great location, comfort and cleanliness

Great location near the brown line train station. Place was really clean and had everything we needed for a quick weekend getaway to see a Cubs game. We would recommend this property.

This place was perfect for our needs. We were in town for the birth of our grandchild and needed a place to stay for a few days. The building was very quiet, and with the hours we were there, we rarely saw any of the neighbors. The unit had everything we needed, and the bed was especially comfortable. The host always answered any of our questions in a very fast manner. I believe this is one of the best deals in Chicago!!

the building was very shabby and initially there was no heat. We reached out and they resolved it quickly but if was inadequate for the chilly weather. The bed was very comfortable.

Property manager was very responsive and checked in with us to make sure everything was going well with our stay. The apartment was very clean and super cute. It was hotter than heck outside but the unit was so nice and cool with the two window units, which they had running for us prior to check in and was VERY much appreciated!

This was a lovely, quiet one bedroom apartment on a nice residential block. It’s a very short walk to the Irving Park L (train) station, as well as to coffee shops, stores, and Trader Joe’s. I also walked (&/or went on runs) to Roscoe Village, Ravenswood, and Lakeview. I enjoyed my stay there very much, It may be helpful for people with mobility issues to know that the apartment is up 3 flights of a turning staircase (and that the laundry room—which has 2 washers & 2 dryers — is in the basement).

The unit itself was fine. The AC didn’t work in the bedroom, but it wasn’t too hot. However, the building changed the locks in the middle of my stay and I was locked out. I came home after midnight and spent an hour outside before I gave up and went to a friend’s house. The host was responsive, but it took an hour to get to the point where they offered me another option. Then it took hours the next morning before I could get into the building despite my repeated requests and the host saying they had a key but couldn’t get it to me. I was locked away from all of my belongings and ended up missing the whole first half of my work day. I was panicked that I would not be able to get back inside before I had to take my flight. It was one of the most stressful situations I have ever been in.

Great location. We drove in, but the Brown line is within a ten minute walk. At present there is no permit parking (Yay!), so we were able to park for free down the street, but there are some limitations M-F, 8am-4pm at the far end of the street. The apartment was clean and as described. Heat was radiator. I didn’t see A/C but we didn’t need it in the winter. The bed was a king and very comfortable. Nightstands had lamps with USB ports for charging phones if you had a cable. Closets a had few hangers. Being an older building, the wooden floor was quite squeaky, but the noise wasn’t a problem for us. Many restaurants—Mexican, Indian, Irish, American—and coffee shops within a five to 15 minute walk. Martyr’s is walkable for music. Trader Joe’s is a 10 min walk away. Mrs. Murphy’s pub is close—for a fireplace, rugby and soccer. Lincoln square which has a number of good restaurants, the Davis theater, Old Town School of Folk music, and Mertz Apothecary is a ten minute drive. The location is not in the “heart of the action” like Lakeview or River North, but the location is quiet, and the rest of the city is easy to access from there by CTA or car. We had trouble with communication in the beginning because a bot and a human both sent messages confirming and asking for registration information. Because both messages looked the same on VRBO it was very frustrating to figure out which was which. Eventually sorted it. Host was responsive. Would stay there again.

We had difficulties with check in and entry to the property due to an unusual situation which the host was unable to resolve during our stay. That said, the host was easy to communicate with and the apartment was comfortable and very clean. The location is convenient to Ravenswood and has shops and restaurants nearby. We were able to find street parking without difficulty on a week night .

This was a very nice, well appointed rental. It was perfect for our needs. Very safe environment. It was a pleasant surprise to find creamer and two bottles of water in the fridge. The only unusual thing was the lack of a top sheet on the bed. No big deal, just different. Highly recommended!
