No need to eat out every meal, unless you want to sample the award-winning restaurants of College Avenue/ Rockridge and Gourmet ghetto of Berkeley. This is a perfect house for entertaining and spreading out in home away from home. Home sleeps 8 guests in 4 bedrooms. Children are welcome.

It features Brazilian cherry floors throughout, two wood burning fireplaces and a cherry paneled library. You enter through two, eight foot high, cherry front doors into the marble tile entry. The kitchen is a chef’s delight, featuring granite countertops, marble backsplash, a 6 burner Wolf stove plus griddle and grill and two ovens for preparing gourmet dinners. A large granite island provides plenty of work space for two chefs working together to cook up a feast. This large granite island has been the focal point of all our parties for the last 30 years. Two dishwashers make it easy to clean up after a party.

Tall windows in the dining room and living room allow everyone to enjoy the panoramic view. Step down three steps into the living room and enjoy a fire in the marble fireplace.

The master bedroom and bath feature unparalleled views and one wakes up to a peaceful view whether the Bay and Alcatraz are completely covered in fog, rain or overcast. Typically, the overcast burns up to open clear skies by 11 am or so, depends on your luck for the day. Enjoy morning coffee, brunch or evening cocktails sitting on one of our two decks overlooking the SF Bay and watch sailboats & ship traffic through the bay. One can simply sit there with a partner and share memories of the past and talk about making new ones.

This beautiful home has French doors leading from the master bedroom and library onto the top deck and from the kitchen on to the deck at entry level. Downstairs there is another large bedroom with a fireplace and large family room. The French doors open onto a veranda and a manicured garden. All levels have great views of San Francisco Bay, GG bridge, Alcatraz.

For the kids, the downstairs has a large family room with cherry floors, mini refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher for midnight snacks.

Take day trips to Napa Valley for wine tasting, enjoy the view from one of the many restaurants in Sausalito or Tiburon, walk or bicycle across the Golden Gate Bridge. Don’t miss Golden Gate Park, the Asian Art Museum, de Young Museum, the Palace of the Legion of Honor (museum) or the Steinhart Aquarium. Take a ride on BART from Rockridge to the Financial District in San Francisco and ride the cable car up California Street. Use your phone to call and ride in a driverless Waymo cab ride of the future. You’ll never run out of things to do in the Bay Area.

Our home is available for vacation rentals to responsible legal adults subject to screening. For Foreign nationals we require copies of their passports and visas for current stay in the United States. For US residents, we require their home address, current photo IDs and names of each individual that will stay in our home. This is necessary for protection of our guests and us as property owners.

Master suite has a King bed and the other 3 bedrooms have a queen size beds with good quality linen. Washer/dryer
Parking in driveway for two cars, more can use street parking. Garage is not available.
