About this property

Fully Renovated Cottage with tasteful, clean interior furnishings. Spacious and open concept for gatherings with family and friends. Setting is very private and safe with lots of room to play with the kids or throw the ball to the dog. Excellent level ground for young children. 10 minute walk to beautiful Kawagama Lake or 2 minute drive to Herb lake for great swimming and canoeing. Huge fire pit for that evening gathering. Sandy area with Volleyball/Badminton net. Satellite tv and Wifi. Climb the Dorset Fire Tower. This property has 4 manicured acres of level ground for the kids to run around in full view. Parents can relax and know the children are safe with no hazards. Out back is your own private mountain to climb and explore. The view of the stars is simply amazing.
The town of Dorset is 5 minutes away. Home of Robinsons General Store which has been voted "Canada's Best Country Store" featuring a great grocery selection (Foodland), hardware store and gift shop. LCBO and several restaurants in town. Enjoy a delicious ice cream on the beautiful waterfront dock. Climb the Dorset Fire Tower and experience the breathtaking view over Lake of Bays. Visit the Dorset Heritage Museum Take in a yoga class at the recreation centre. The town of Huntsville is half an hour away will all the larger box stores. Arrowhead Provincial Park and Algonquin Park all within half hour for day trips.

Quiet Haven

The property is well maintained. The house is much larger than it looks from the exterior. The principal bedroom with on suite bathroom is in it’s own ‘wing’ so we didn’t hear anything from the late night crew. It just feels like a home away from home. I recommend it to any and all.

Amazing weekend away in this gem

Beautiful property with lots of room for 5 adults, 1 teenager and 3 small dogs. Great location, close to many hiking trails. Owner provided trail maps and brochures of things to do around the area. Rooms were clean, kitchen was fully equipped, beds were comfortable with hygenic covers on the mattresses. Water is not drinkable from the tap, but the owner provided jugs of water for the water cooler, so we had no issues. No lake access directly from the cottage but access points are close. I would highly recommend this property and this host.

ATV Getaway

We had a great time! Our annual ATV trip included 6 adults (6 ATV’s) lots of parking. Trails we’re great! But we were blown away with our accommodations. It was clean and were surprised at how much room there was for all of us. Shireen is great! Responds to any questions you may have and makes you feel welcome. Thank you Shireen!

Exceeds Expectations

The cottage is impeccably maintained. Plenty of room for our party of six adults. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need to prepare meals for the whole family. Close proximity to lake access for canoeing and kayaking. We also enjoyed some of hikes in the area and climbed the Dorset Tower. A great get away all around. We highly recommend this property!
