Take a dip on the prestine waters of Little Kennisis Lake or take in the scenery on a canoe, kayak or stand up paddleboard. For rainy days, play ping pong or let the kids enjoy the kids corner.

Our cottage is very spacious, which gives you and your guests plenty of space to relax and unwind. The fully furnished basement has plenty of entertainment including a Home Theatre projector that includes Amazon Prime and Disney Plus. A fold out ping pong table will get your competitve juices flowing. For those that are into working out, we have a treadmill, bowflex dumbells, bench and yoga mats to exercise while enjoying the sunny south view. Worried about bugs? Hideout in our wonderful screened in Muskoka room while enjoying a book, playing a board game or lounge on the patio furniture while sharing stories with friends and family. For kids, our little ones have agreed to share their toys as guests can use the lego table, arts and crafts table, doll house and a well stocked library of favourites. One of our favourite kid approved activities is gazing at the sky filled stars on a clear Summer's night by the fire pit at the top of the property. Our water trampoline is a big hit with the young ones and the young at heart. Jump right into the weed free waters of Little K.

Soak in the sun from our multiple decks that wrap around the house. Enjoy a BBQ meal on the main deck while taking in the southern lake breeze. Walk down a few flights of stairs to the prestine waters of Little Kennisis Lake. Take a dip in the weed free calm waters right off the docks. Explore the beauty of the larger connected Kennisis Lake using our Kayak, Canoe or Paddleboard. Rent a motor boat or ski doo from Lake Kennisis Marina. Feeling lazy? Lounge on the Lily pad float that fits up to 4 adults. Try your hand at fishing for Lake Trout in the deeper waters or Small Mouth Bass off the docks using our rods and lures. Take plenty of pics for our cottage Fishing Hall of Fame. After enjoying the waters, lounge on the extra large lakefront deck. If you are looking for some ME time away from the kids, hang out on the tree hung hammock in the woods.

The Bear Cave Cottage on Little Kennisis Lake - Review
We had a great snowy getaway. The cottage and the lake were so peaceful and calm. Just what we needed to unwind before the holidays. Inside had everything we needed from cooking utensils to pots/pans and we were able to try out a local restaurants. The host was very welcoming and answered all of our questions.

Relaxing Getaway
Our group loved our little getaway at Kevin’s cottage. The views of the lake was stunning from the deck, and pretty much every room from the house. We loved cozying up by the fireplace and playing board games. Kids LOVED watching movies in the home theatre. We enjoyed the grounds and took a walk down to the water, which was every peaceful. We would definitely want to experience the cottage in the winter when there is snow and hit the ski hill nearby and try snowshoeing and skiing on the lake. Kevin was a great host, always available and quick to answer our questions. He made it very much a stress free stay. Thanks for having us!

Awesome cottage and great host
Our family had a great time at the cottage. The views of the lake were spectacular and the area was extremely quiet and peaceful. Best of all, the cottage itself was very spacious and clean with a well stocked kitchen. Our kids especially loved the projector to watch movies on the big wall. Kevin was a great host and we will definitely stay again in the warmer months!

Ever since I was in high school and was invited to my first family cottage, I have loved fishing off the docks, seeing a sky full of stars, swimming in a lake and lounging on the decks. Now that I have my own cottage, I would like to share that experience with friends, family and guests.

Why they chose this property

There is a lot of wilderness adventures in the area including the Haliburton Forest, where you can go for hikes, rent a boat or swim. At the marina, you can rent a ski doo or motor boat and explore the big lake. Haliburton has a few good restaurants with a friendly vibe including Hook, Line and Sinker.

What makes this property unique

Our cottage is perched up on a hill to take full advantage of the elevated lake views. There is great fishing off the docks. Also, our property is very spacious and modern. Like a house with all the things that you love about a cottage including swimming in a lake, lounging on the deck and seeing a sky full of stars. We have a Home Theatre Projector to watch movies in 4K on a 300 inch wall for rainy or snowy days.
