This property is strictly for the person who loves outdoor adventure...No shopping malls here! No clubs, no putt putt golf. Be sure to buy your groceries before you get here. The only open business in town is the Exxon/7-11 station a mile up the road by the Interstate . I love it!

The cabin was so clean and had all the amenities we could ask for! The master bedroom en suite shower was a welcome luxury after a day in the heat and dust.
Stayed in Bonanza was amazingly quiet, beautiful location. Only complaint would be the exterior stairs need a railing. Would definitely stay again!! Thank you so much!!
This is a great park. spread out with many options, tent cabins rv access. Our double wide is a home. Air conditioning is great. so comfortable. But wait! turn right out of Park and if no rain I mean NO Rain. the drive into Thompson and for sure Sego canyon was the smoothest canyon roads you can find.
Like other reviews mentioned, this place is around a 30-40 minute drive to Moab but well worth it if you want a relaxing, quiet, spacious place to have as a home base. Plenty of room for the 4 of us. Very clean with an awesome front porch to hang out on after a long day exploring. We definitely would stay here again if we come back.
My family stayed for 4 nights while we explored Arches and Canyonlands NP and Moab. It was a bit of a drive, but we prefer to be out away from the bustle of people. Plenty of room for everyone and very clean. Comfortable beds and cold air conditioning (it was HOT). We highly recommend this rental.

Fantastic
Clean, great location, my family of six really enjoyed ourselves. It was a cold weekend and we were warm at night and I was able to wash dirty clothes. Will be coming back.
We had a great time at Bonanza house. We missed the fact that it is an RV park. We selected it for the secluded location. However, it was very quiet and we didn't meet more than 3-4 people.
The owners are very kind and gave us great advice and suggestions regarding the less popular but beautiful areas we can go to.
It's our home base for our annual mountain biking trips to Moab, and this time we even rode Fruita one day.
This was our first time at the Bonanza House (we usually stay at the Nutter House), which was great. The house is clean, kitchen is well stocked, grill is great. The only thing missing is a table on the covered patio.
We will be back again next year!
House was much roomier than expected. Although listing indicated 3 bedrooms the rooms were much larger than expected. Ditto with the two bathrooms. House was well maintained and clean. Great stay!
When we arrived the house was ready and very clean. We used it as a base for 5 days of hiking/ biking in Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, and Moab. It was convenient and very quiet. I would recommend the property to any group of 6 or fewer.
Very happy with the accommodations. The facility met my comfort needs very well. There was plenty of parking for my pickup truck and trailer next to the house. As far as the Thompson Springs location, I was visiting both the Moab area (30 miles south) as well as the San Rafael Swell area (an hour south-west) and Thompson Springs was a very good location for both. Except for an occasional train passing through town, there is basically no traffic there at the Ballard RV Park and it is very quiet and peaceful, away from Moab's congestion.
Just completed a 12 day trip thru CO, AZ, and UT.
This lodging was the best of all 7 stops! Nothing super fancy, but exactly what we needed. Very clean! Had everything you needed...and not a bunch of junk you didn't.
My wife and i stayed there in our RV in 2022. So now we can recommend their RV park as well as Bonanza cabin. We tried to add additional night, but they were booked solid! That's what happens when you run a class business!
We stayed two nights to visit Arches NP and the surrounding area. While you have a little bit of a drive to Moab, you're not going to find 3br/2ba, plus a full kitchen and washer/dryer for anywhere near the price closer to town. Plus, there are number of interesting things to see close by, including the petroglyphs and ghost town, and if you have a capable vehicle, you can see some beautiful countryside without running into another soul (bring water and food in case of a breakdown).
The property itself is a nice-sized house with a large living area. It is located within a campground, but it's clean and quiet. Would definitely stay again.
The property was nice and spacious. The location was very easy to get to and there are some great attractions that are local. There were some minor repair issues in the master bathroom. The shower doesn't turn off unless you position the knobs just right, not in the off position. The photo shows a small house set off by itself. In reality, you are at the back of an RV park with a lot of neighbors. Noise is a bit of an issue if you are a light sleeper. The trash bins for the RV park are set right next to the house so you may hear those at any hour. The train does come through at all hours and is nearby. The master bedroom there was a continuous dripping right outside that is annoying. The heating system is also very loud and can wake you up when it comes on. The listing says TV and internet. The internet is very slow. Working online at night was difficult with the connection issues. The TV finally got 11 channels on our last day there. It did not pick up any channels the previous two days and kept asking to scan for channels. Overall, the unit was clean and reasonably well-kept. Reasonable value for the stay.
We had a great time at this property. Perfectly situated outside of Moab so as not to be caught up in the hustle and bustle but close enough to make it a convenience getting to attractions. Also a peacefully and quiet area with nice trails and local history to soak in. Very pleased with our stay.
Nice house, very clean. Enjoyed the room to spread out.

About the host

I have been to all the 50 states and have concluded that this part of Utah is among the most scenic and interesting places. I love outdoor adventure and wild life
Why they chose this property
I chose this location because basically you have the whole place to your self ! This is the cheapest place to stay , but the irony is it just happens to be the best place to stay if you like wilderness and wide open spaces and clean air. Those who like rush hour and dog eat dog will feel out of place here.
What makes this property unique
The most unique feature of this property is the ease of access to thousands of miles of atv trails and sight seeing The first impression of this ghost town may not be that great, but there is a lot to do and see in the immediate area.
