We had a wonderful week on Hancock Pond. Weather didn't cooperate as well as we hoped, but there was plenty of room for all the card and games.
Thankfully, I took my big electric griddle, and paper plates. Would have hated using the china and glasses. Bought plastic cups, left them there for others.😜
Loved the view, the easy water access, and the beautiful campfire ring. Smores were enjoyed by all. Camp wood for purchase is easy to find.
The only thing we missed was a washer and dryer, to dry towels and because we had our two year old grandson along.
Thank you Taryn for sharing your piece of heaven.
We stayed at this property to attend a family gathering. The location was perfect and access to the water was great. Plenty of room for a larger group (5 in my group) to spread out. The only complaint I had was most glasses needed to be cleaned before use.
The Good: Overall, a very nice spot. We wanted quiet and waterfront and the cove provided both. Very relaxing.
The pool room was a nice spot for hanging out.
Needs Attention: The King is 2 Twins pushed together which is fine but the mattresses are pure torture. We needed to to buy memory foam mattress toppers in order to sleep since we were there for a week.
Cleanliness: I would call it surface clean. It was extremely dusty. We needed to dust. We couldn’t turn on the ceiling fans because they’re loaded with dust. If you have allergies or asthma this would be a consideration.
The bath mat on first floor had mildew so it’s clear it hadn’t been washed recently. Perhaps we were the first to rent it in a while or it just needs more attention as a rental.
I would recommend adding a railing to the front stairs for safety.
