Bright airy apartment - Best spot in Jerusalem!

I'm a New Yorker living in Jerusalem. I am an academic lecturer, and I love this apartment because it is a quiet haven in the center of the city. A good place to read and enjoy the sunshine, and relax from all the hustle and bustle, but you only need to step outside and experience the heart and soul of Jerusalem.

Relax in your huge, airy living room that comfortably seats eight, and dine indoors or outdoors on your private, covered balcony. Your master bedroom is a sunny, peaceful space, with a big closet and its own external bathroom with shower and tub. Your second bedroom has a workspace with desk, and a sofa that becomes a double bed. It has a private bath with shower and access to the balcony. The room-darkening curtains in both bedrooms are ideal to help you get over jetlag. You’ll find your kitchen fully equipped with oven, stove, coffee maker, huge fridge, dishes and flatware. You'll also have use of a clothes washer and can dry your clothes Israeli-style on the balcony. The building itself is a very modern, multi-building condominium-style high-rise. It is beautiful and clean, with a gorgeous entryway, lovely pools, fountains, and internal patios. A shabbat elevator and regular elevator function side by side. Something rare in Jerusalem, the solid construction provides excellent sound insulation, resulting in a peaceful feeling throughout. The 24/7 receptionist-security is always there for you, and the fully-equipped gym is available any time, night or day.

Your apartment is just 50 meters from bustling Jaffa Road and Ben Yehuda pedestrian corridor, a neighborhood awash with shops and restaurants. Your mini-market at the corner is remains open an hour before and after Shabbat. Zion Square is located just steps away, and the Old City is an easy, 10-minute walk. A light rail tram stop is another 50 meters or so up Jaffa Road. The must-see Jerusalem market, Mahane Yehudah, is just two tram stops away. The train runs east to the Old City and west to Mount Herzl and Yad Vashem, the Holocaust memorial and museum. Want to spend some time in Tel Aviv and the beach? Transportation by Sherut is just a block away! You’ll find no better home base for sightseeing!
