See photos of the Christie Lodge Resort and this cozy one-bedroom suite at The Suite includes a balcony, fireplace, cable TV, kitchenette (microwave and hot plate but no stove/oven), and free Wifi. With the sleeper sofa in the living/dining room, the unit sleeps 4 people. A roll-away bed and crock pot are also available upon request, and the day bed shown in the floor plan on the website can sleep a small child.

You will have guest access to the resort's many on-site amenities, including: --the 24-hour front desk offering concierge-like services; --free: covered parking, heated pool, hot tub, ping pong table, lounge, gas grills, and shuttle to Beaver Creek resort; --pay-operated laundry; --$3 Duraflame logs for the unit's fireplace; --ski-equipment rental/purchase; and --Subway and Vietnamese restaurants and vending machines located on-site. Check in is 5pm and Checkout is 10am.

Check in is 5pm and Checkout is 10am. The resort will be expecting you upon your arrival. At check-in you will need to show ID and provide a credit card for use for incidentals or in case of damage ($100 hold on card but not charged). The 24-hour front desk provides many hotel-like services, including concierge, roll away beds, towels, and extra toiletries.

Neighborhood overview
On-site at the resort, where the unit is located, you can buy firewood and there is a ski equipment rental/purchase shop, pay laundry, a Subway sandwich shop, a Vietnamese restaurant, and vending machines. Avon, where the resort is located, is a small mountain town with shops and stores in walking distance to the unit/resort. In the photos section, please find a map of Avon. Loaded Joe's, across the street from the resort, is a popular coffee/breakfast shop and night spot. See also the Getting Around section of this listing.

Getting around
Avon is a small mountain town with shops and stores in walking distance to the unit/resort. In the photos section, please find a map of Avon. In addition to free covered parking at the Lodge (ID must be presented to front desk), there is a free shuttle bus to the Beaver Creek ski resort (only about 2 miles away) that runs every 15-30 minutes, depending on the time of day. There is also a bus to the Vail ski resorts that costs $4 and takes about 20-30 minutes. I'm told that if you drive yourself to Vail (only about 10 minutes from the Lodge), the first 2 hours of parking are free and parking costs a max of $25/day. The unit/resort's front desk has schedules and more detailed information. Directions to unit/resort From Denver Airport Take I-70 WEST. Exit at #167 (Avon). Go LEFT (around) the first round about and underneath I-70 getting onto Avon Road. Go STRIAGHT through the second roundabout Make a LEFT turn (third exit) at the third roundabout with the Avon Horse Stature, getting off on East Beaver Creek Blvd. The resort is located immediately on your left. Directions to unit/resort From Eagle County Airport Take I-70 EAST Exit at #167 (Avon) Turn RIGHT at the bottom of the exit ramp getting onto Avon Road Make a LEFT turn (third exit) at the first roundabout with the Avon Horse Stature, getting off on East Beaver Creek Blvd. The resort is located immediately on your left.
