La Dolce Vita. The sweet life!
Never has experiencing the sweet life been more accessible than when staying at this idyllic lakefront vacation rental on the lovely west shore of Lake Tahoe. La Dolce Vita is an adorable 2,565 square foot cottage situated on a .83-acres with over 100 feet of lake frontage. The home charms with its tranquil setting, classic Old Tahoe interior design, and expansive lake views. Sunbathers will delight in the shared boathouse with a spacious top deck, providing the perfect spot to enjoy the glorious sun atop the turquoise water. A stone patio at water's edge, surrounded by grass, sets the stage for lawn games and lazy days with cool Tahoe breezes sending scents of pine through the air. One buoy is available for boating enthusiasts, welcoming exploration of lakeside restaurants, marinas and sandy beaches.
Inside, La Dolce Vita boasts ample space for indoor / outdoor living with a covered stone terrace hosting a second dining area. Surrounded by warm woods including the flooring, walls and ceiling, the living room is an extremely comfortable area in which to gather and converse. Large windows, a new gas fireplace and whimsical art create a cozy and happy space to enjoy company. The formal dining room has views from two of its three walls and seats 8 at the table. The kitchen has a small center island with seating for 2 and a large walk-in pantry housing the refrigerator and numerous cabinets for food storage. The primary suite sits on the south side of the home for privacy while the additional three bedrooms rest on the north side of the home and share 2 bathrooms. A center courtyard allows for ample parking and a separate, sizeable guest house is outfitted for fun with a pool table, TV and full bathroom.
Situated on the bike trail heading in one direction to Tahoe City / Palisades and in the other to Meeks Bay, La Dolce Vita is a fabulous home to rent bikes and spend the day exploring in the fresh air. The cute town of Tahoma offers a mini-market and deli sandwiches, while a plethora of yummy restaurants abound on the west shore. Truly, la dolce vita!

Winter Driving
Many highways, access roads and/or driveways are steep in Tahoe/Truckee and may be icy in the winter. To ensure your safety, it is critical that during November 1st - April 30th brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater and exhaust system are in top condition. Tires need to be properly inflated and the tread must be in excellent condition. Always carry tire chains, even if driving an AWD/4WD vehicle. Make sure the chains are the proper size for your tires and are in working order. You may find valuable winter driving tips from the CHP here: https://bit.ly/3IKiY7n
Summer Patio Furniture
Patio furniture is available for your use during summer months only. All outdoor tables, chairs and loungers are put into storage in the fall, in order to protect the furnishings from winter weather. Barbecue grills, however, do remain outside for your enjoyment.
Black bears are very common in this area and have become habituated to human food and garbage. Because bears no longer have a strong fear of humans, you may encounter bears during your spring, summer and fall stays. Feeding bears is illegal. Leaving food outside, trash accessible, or doors and windows unlocked is likely to cause significant property damage to homes and to vehicles. Please take a moment to learn how to be Bear Aware, so that we can continue to live in harmony with our wildlife.
