We do not live on the property but someone is available 24/7 to assist you should you need anything during your stay. Please shoot us a message or give us a call.

The serene beauty of Misty Mountain comes with a few important safety considerations. The backyard features rocky, uneven steps leading down to the Guadalupe River, creating a picturesque but potentially challenging terrain. We urge all guests to exercise caution when navigating these steps, especially during wet or slippery conditions. For families with young children, please note that the steep stairs and uneven ground make this property unsuitable for children under 5. All guests, regardless of age, should review photos of the property’s terrain before booking and take care when accessing the riverfront to ensure a safe and enjoyable stay.

Guests may encounter a variety of critters, including cats, playful squirrels, colorful songbirds, and the occasional deer grazing nearby. The river attracts dragonflies, butterflies, and other insects, especially during warmer months, adding to the natural symphony. While these creatures enhance the outdoor experience, we recommend wearing insect repellent during dusk or dawn to avoid bites from mosquitoes or other small insects. Keep an eye out for fish leaping in the river, particularly the rainbow and brown trout stocked in the Trophy Trout Zone. Embrace the beauty of nature, but stay mindful of your surroundings to fully enjoy this wild and wonderful retreat.

Due to past incidents of equipment being lost to the river, we now require a valid credit card on file before providing access to the kayaks and paddleboards. This helps us ensure the safe return of all equipment.
