Other things to note
Beaches
There are many beautiful beaches located just minutes away from Pineapple Shores.
Pere Marquette: The biggest and most popular beach in the area.
Lake Harbor Park: a lovely 10 minute walk through the woods on a flat path takes you to a smaller, less populated beach area. Free parking
PJ Hoffmaster state park: Gorgeous views and many hiking trails. Pay Fee at entrance to park.
Activities
Visit one of our unique historical vessels-The USS Silversides, a WWII submarine, or the LST 393, one of the few remaining Landing Ship Tanks used to transport tanks and soldiers during WWII.
Visit Muskegon Luge Adventure Sports Park for zip lining, rock climbing, archery, and more. Open year round for all season family fun.
Stroll around the downtown area and visit our impressive local farmers market, wandering into one of our many "art chalets" occupied by local artisans, catch a concert or a show at the historic Frauenthal Theater.
Love to fish? Visit fishingbooker dot com for information on local charters on Muskegon Lake or Lake Michigan.
Restaurants
There are many great dining options in the Muskegon area. Here is a list of some our favorite spots:
Wonderland Distillery-great cocktails and small plates
Nipote-small family fun Italian bistro
The Hearthstone Bistro-a Muskegon institution
The Deck-Located right on the beach at Pere Marquette. Excellent barbeque, great atmosphere
18th amendment-Great cocktails and pizza
Unruly Brewing Company- Craft Brewery and restaurant
Aldea is our favorite coffee shop. A nice relaxing spot for a tasty beverage and a delicious snack.
Rootdown Juice Bar has fresh made juice and many healthy lunch options. Their yoga studio is fantastic. You can even order a juice before your class and it will be waiting for you when you are done. Ask about dates for "Yoga on the ship" where you can have the unique experience of practicing yoga on the deck of the LST (a decommissioned WWII vessel)
Are you a cheese lover? Then you must take a trip to The Cheese Lady to stock up on your new favorites.
We hope you enjoy your stay!
