You are also steps away to the legendary Hollywood Beach Boardwalk. Hollywood Beach often compared to quaint European and funky California beach towns, the character of this inviting area is all Florida. Wifi is free. Please note that parking is free, and a small van is fine, however, no large trucks over 16.5 feet. For oversized trucks there is permit parking available in the city for a low fee of around $30 a week.

Great location

Property as described, great location enjoyed the deck area. Great communication. Was clean, would definetly stop there again, great relaxing holiday and within walking distance to beach, water taxi and restaurants and shops.

Very relaxing but fun vacation !

We love being anywhere on the water-and this was the best. You are right on the intercoastal, and while drinking your coffee can watch the ships sail by - and then if you love the beach as much as we do, just cross the road and the beach and the night life are right there- plus the famous Hollywood boardwalk. We will certainly return.

The location was great nice porch on the intercoastal about 200 yards from boardwalk and beach easy access the negatives however we were given 5 towels for 5 days the laundry that's supposed to be there is across street in hotel and we were givin issues by hotel staff for using it also there was only 1 fork in the whole condo and the knives wouldnt cut anything so we had to buy knives and forks and we left them for next guest upstairs Tennant smoked weed alot so you had to put up with the smell of weed as well overall we would not stay again.

Great location, but condo could have been better

Two major advantages to this condo were the location and the responsiveness of the host. On the negative side were the lack of cleanliness, an ill-equipped kitchen and an uncomfortable bed. Regarding cleanliness, the cleaning service did an adequate job of cleaning the floor, bathroom and kitchen, but the entire condo needs a thorough deep cleaning. The chair rails, blinds, drawers, windowsills, fan blades, door frames, and floor moldings were covered with greasy dust. The blind on the front window was so dirty that it should be replaced. I alerted the owner to this issue so hopefully she will address the problem before the next guests arrive. Don’t expect to do much cooking in this kitchen. I knew the kitchen was tiny from the photos, but I expected basic cooking utensils. The owner offered to reimburse me for a cutting board and two potholders, but then she complained that this wasn’t necessary because I could have used a plate for chopping and the one very small kitchen towel as a potholder. There are two old can openers, but neither one is sharp enough to open a can. Luckily my husband had his pocketknife, and we were able to open cans with it. Most of the knives are very dull. No measuring cups or measuring spoons. The freezer is in desperate need of being defrosted. The refrigerator had ice in it too and froze our orange juice and some of our food even though we turned the temperature to make it warmer. We had trouble sleeping on the bed. The bed squeaked every time we moved. And there was a depression in the middle of the bed. We discovered that the bed frame was broken. The owner offered to have a new one delivered. We declined her generous offer but hopefully she has replaced the broken bed frame now that we left.

AC not working.....NOT FUN

Our stay was less than acceptable. The first day there the AC wasn’t working properly. There are 2 wall units with a remote control. They only put out warm circulated air. We contacted the owner. (She doesn’t list her ph# so we had the help of a very gracious RE Agent who happened to be there the same time.) We informed the owner that first day of the AC issue. There was a portable unit there which we did use but it needed to be vented through the bathroom window. This unit worked slightly better but the hose wasn’t long enough to direct the cool air towards the bedroom. We could not have the bedroom ceiling fan on high speed as it shook so violently that we were afraid it would completely come out of the ceiling. She scheduled an AC guy there for next day but then we had her cancel as it seemed to work better in the AM . Our fault for having her cancel. We dealt with it again in the evening. On Sunday we said it just isn’t working, please have the guy come to fix it. She kept insisting that the previous tenants had no trouble with it. That very well could have been true…BUT it didn’t work for us. AC units do NOT live forever; we were the unfortunate couple who booked it the time the AC decided to go on the blink. Not her fault, and certainly not ours. The next day when we got back the AC unit wouldn’t even turn on at all. NOTHING! All other electricity was working but not them. We looked for a fuse box but found none. I went outside to look and I saw a tenant who lives there and I asked if she had same similar issues. NO, she installed her own AC unit.The owner then texted me to tell me where the fuse box was. This is where she insinuated that perhaps we were not experienced with houses or AC's ! We live in TEXAS for crying out loud! Like we planned this? AC guy came out and confirmed the compressors were shot.She needed a new unit.If you think this was a nightmare stay…well it was. And if she challenges anything here I can share all the texts to prove how patient I was throughout our communications and how she unprofessionally replied back to me. I have pictures and videos of other issues we had to deal with. For instance the pull chain for the ceiling fan in livingroom was stuck and couldn’t be turned on. There was a bare minimum of basic supplies for this supposed HOME AWAY FROM HOME. Like TP, paper towels,etc. Normal stuff for a home stay. 1 set of sheets, 2 sets of towels, no facial cloths. We did move and we did get refunded.

Vacation to Ft. Lauderdale (Hollywood Beach)

My husband and I stayed here for one week this month (May 2021). The place was just perfect for us. We used the kitchen for breakfast/lunch and ate dinners out at restaurants. We put in a Walmart delivery order for our food and a few supplies. There were two chairs that we took to the beach. We brought our own cooler for taking drinks to the beach. Easily located to the beach - just cross over the highway and walk to the Broadwalk/Hollywood Beach. There were beautiful sunsets behind our unit on the dock. The place was decorated with several beach themed items - very unique and charming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I would highly recommend this condo!!

Beautiful Location, but the place needs some work!

We loved the location, and the condo could have been wonderful. The patio on the Intercoastal is great, the neighbors were very nice, and the other condos in the place were beautiful. The beach and Boardwalk are awesome. That said, we were disappointed with the condo itself. It is in serious need of TLC. It needs painting and updating. We had read the previous renters' comments and had put the negative ones down to the fact that there are always people dissatisfied with something. We are not picky people. However, we found that the comments of previous tenants were justified. First and foremost, the bed mattress is very uncomfortable and absolutely needs to be replaced. You know how a mattress develops an indentation when only one person uses it and always stays in the same spot. That's what this had. My daughter on that side of the bed was in the "hole" and she could not sleep. For the second night, we tried moving the mattress from the sofa bed to the bed. That didn't work as she could still feel the indentation. For the rest of the stay, we slept on the sofa bed. While we weren't very comfortable, we did manage. A little investment in sheets and towels would go a long way to making the place more desirable. The sheets on the bed were grungy looking, "pilled", and uncomfortable. There was a large stain on the bed comforter--again, not very appealing. And the towels are all old and worn. A small investment in WalMart linens could fix this and give the place a much better overall appeal. The peeling on the sofa is serious, probably dry rot, and once we opened the sofa to sleep on it, the peelings (large brown chunks) were all over the place. It was pretty gross! The air conditioning WAS effective, so that problem has been solved. The honeycomb blind in the front of the unit is gray/brown on the bottom--looks to be moldy or something; it adds to the yuckyness of the place. The dresser top in the bedroom was actualy sticky. I have a feeling that the cleaning service does a pretty good "surface job." However, when you look in corners or behind the bedroom door, it looks pretty gross. The refrigerator is old and hard to regulate. Most of our food froze at first. We found mouse droppings on the dishes in the cupboard. I know that can be hard to control, but it just added to the overall feel of a place that just isn't clean.

Not what I Expected

I was expecting an older but clean and tidy condo. The building is very cute with a shared dock/deck on the intracoastal. Luckily, the weather was perfect because I spent the entire vacation outside. Inside it was very musty, two floor a/c units required wood in windows blocking what little natural light flows into the apartment and used precious floor space. The bedroom blinds could not be fully closed because of the a/c unit. The bedroom was covered in dust and the owner said it was from recent repairs...so much for any covid safe surfaces. I wiped down most of the surfaces. The only closet available was stuffed full with no hangers so there was no place to hang clothes. I would not stay here again...everything else about our trip to Hollywood Beach was nice, but I could never completely relax in such a dirty, unwelcoming space.

Great Location - Clean Property

This gem is toward the top of the Hollywood Broadwalk. Plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The location provides a great waterside deck on the Intercoastal. Just a one block walk to the beach without a highrise in the immediate area, the beach was pleasantly uncrowded. (Yes it is off season but even the weekend was uncrowded.) Usable kitchen, nice beds/sleepsofa & great wifi. Will come back next year!

This property sits between the intercostal which is in your back deck and the boardwalk which is one block from the front door. There are many restaurants clothes stores within walking distance.

Renters beware—Leaky toilet and a dirty unit

Renters Beware—We rented Feb 2 to 9. On Feb 4, we emailed owner to state there was a leaky toilet. She replied saying Thanks. On Feb 6, we saw more water pooling around the toilet (Totally unacceptable-who wants their feet in water from a toilet leak?). After 2 days and no action/message about getting the toilet fixed we moved out into a hotel. Trying to settle this amicably, we contacted the owner requesting a refund on the remaining 3 nights. I told her I didn’t want to post a negative review. She then admitted she knew toilet had been leaking for awhile. And did I do anything to make the leak worse? Then called me a scam artist and threatened to blackball me on VRBO. Besides the toilet, some drawers were moldy, dust on the baseboards, and we saw a cockroach. Mattress was so soft we rolled into the middle. We filed an official claim including pictures with VRBO. Owner did state that she would contact current renters about the condition of the toilet to see how ‘bad’ it really was. Current renters have been there 4 days and I have yet to hear from owner. I’m still hoping for a refund.

Air quality nightmare

We wound up not even staying at the property because of the smell of the unit. It smelled musty and moldy. We were there only a matter of minutes before my wife, who suffers from asthma, and myself had difficulty breathing. We went outside only to find that the wonderful deck we were promised was a very small area with one chair and a very tiny rusty metal table. Once we had experienced the air quality inside the unit, it became apparent why, when we were walking past other units in the complex, several of them had their doors standing wide open. I guess they were airing them out. We had to ask our children to transfer money into our checking account so we could go to a hotel, where we wound up staying for the week, never setting foot in the condo we had reserved through vrbo again. Deserves no stars whatsoever! Put one down because website would not accept review without it.
