Welcome to the lazy Crow Inn, owned and operated by Shawn and Karen, nestled in the heart of the charming seaside town of Seldovia Alaska. Our in is not just a place to stay it is a piece of the towns rich history. Built in 1942, this beautiful historic building has served many purposes through out the years as a cannery bunkhouse, housing hard-working fisherman and cannery workers who helped shape the legacy of this coastal community, and home to many prestigious Seldovian’s. Today, it stands proudly as a warm and welcoming home away from home for travelers around the world.
Seldovia holds a very special place in our hearts. Karen’s family has lived here for generations, deeply rooted in the rhythm and traditions of this extraordinary town. It’s more than just a location it’s a way of life. Surrounded by natures raw beauty, Seldovia offers breathtaking vistas at every turn. Majestic mountain peaks rise above the glistening waters of the bay, long stretches of sandy beaches invite peaceful walks, and dense, towering spruce forest extend all the way to the shoreline. Wildlife is abundant, and the sense of tranquility is something you can’t help but carry with you long after you visit.
We believe Seldovia is one of Alaska‘s, most picturesque and genuine seaside towns. Visitors are greeted, not only with unforgettable scenery, but with a warm, authentic community that embodies the true spirit of Alaska. The people here are as remarkable as the landscapes, kind, welcoming, and always ready to share a story, or lend a helping hand.
At the Lazy Crow Inn we want to share our love for this incredible town with every guest to walk through our doors. Whether you’re seeking adventure, inspiration, or just a quiet place to relax, Seldovia offers it all. It’s a space you’ll remember with fondness and we’re honored to be a part of your journey here.
