We had a great experience staying at the Deer Creek Lodge. The location is very peaceful, the lodge was unique and a perfect size, and the hosts were very helpful. We will be back!

Great little cabin to stay in for a couple of days. Cold AC and hot showers! Everything is brand new in the place and is immaculate, saw plenty of turkeys,(the broods did great this spring!) a few deer and all the squirrels you could ask for. My Daughter loved the loft area, we all loved hearing nothing all night, but the animals…No neighbors, no car doors slamming. Just nature on a great front porch and a massive stone fire pit! Yall do yourselves a favor! 40 minutes from downtown Lexington!

Very isolated, which we loved! I think 5 adult friends might need a place with more than one bathroom next time, but for a family, this place would be perfect!! I could imagine kids and teenagers LOVING exploring the field next to the house and the surrounding woods, streams. One of the bedrooms (the loft) is only accessible via ladder, but, again, kids would likely LOVE that. Kitchen is fully equipped and tv/internet were great. It was a lovely stay!

One thing for prospective guests to note is that the host requests guests to not put toilet paper down the toilet, but instead to throw away in the adjacent trash can. If you've been to a country where this is common (Peru, for example), not a big deal, but might be a bit unusual for others.
